Re: Sudden Shivers...Frightening!
Going to bed last night i was suddenly overcome with intense shivering which lasted about 30 minutes. It was as if I was suddenly plunged in icy water - I could't stop shaking!

Bloody frightening, and I have no idea what could have caused it? I'm a healthy guy - haven't had a drink for a week and don't do drugs - has anyone had this before?

btw - temperature was mild (in the mid sixties) and I'm not one that generally feels the cold.

Feel fine now but was pretty shaken up (pun intended!) at the time.

It was the Holy Ghost. I get the chills. The gift of God to us all after Jesus was resurrected.

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"

Probably a fever. You're getting sick. It might not be too bad since you walked your dog. But, the shivering, plus being tired and achy the next day means illness.

We're kind of trained from childhood to think that only a high fever is important. But, many adults will run a fever that is not so high even if they are pretty sick.

Re: Sudden Shivers...Frightening!
When that happens to me I think something somewhere is trying to tell me something. Calm myself and my mind / body quickly and just focus on the feelings.
I usually try to relate the feelings to something I have felt before and try to imagine how I over came it step by step until its gone. Painting an illusion in your mind can be just as strong.

You could also be picking up a charge from the air/earth. Go outside without shoes might dissipate the energy faster (chills).
