**DID YOU FEEL IT?? Idaho Earthquake**
I'm in southwestern Ontario.

Around 5:30 or so, I noticed that my chair was shaking. As if some VERY heavy equipment was moving.

It lasted less than a minute, and there was no equipment or anything that would cause this...

A few minutes later, i decided to shut down my machine 'cuz a storm was coming up...

It was a glorious storm, lol!

stoner

Anyway, I came back on at 8:45, and checked the the eq sites.

Sure enough, there WAS an earthquake...in southern Idaho.

Magnitude 3.1 - SOUTHERN IDAHO

That's a LONG ways away!

I checked the P-Wave chart...it was the same time that I felt the shaking!

It's kind of exciting, especially just after that incredibly powerful storm!

woohoo

Anyone else feel it??

I think it's a good title October. Maybe not too many members from Idaho and/or the EQ pros here may not be around.

Nope, I didn't feel it. I'm in Cleveland. But we get mild earthquakes under Lake Erie now and then. I've felt a few.

Things in our neck of the woods are different from CA so the effects of quakes really are different and strange in regards to how far away they are felt.

The southern tip of IL had one some years back and we could feel it in Milwaukee, WI.

You're waaay closer than I am!

I'm in my apartment; it's an attic so it's higher up. That probably exaggerates the motion.

I've felt a couple of the ones from Lake Erie, but this one was much stronger and it lasted a fair while...

Exciting anyway!

Thanks for answering guys!

cheers
