You don't love life. You sit around hoping your false god destroys a country. How is that love of life?? Seriously. You are the problem. If nature decides for a purge, trust me, you and your ilk will be gone.

You are delusional. Give people like you enough rope and you entangl yourself, and fall flat on your face.
I don't hope for destruction as you imagine in that stunted mind of yours, but I don't run from the truth nor sugar coat it either. Grow up!

Re: Dolly Now a CAT 2 Hurricane. Hits South Texas with 100 mph winds.
My parents have a home in Texas, 30 minutes from South Padre Island, so far the roof and part of the cinder block wall on their garage have been blown off and destroyed.... My sister is riding this out alone right now.... [link to upload.wikimedia.org]
RE: "
Hey whatever happened to those people in houston who recieved messages of a major huricane in Sept.? Thought they might be mistaken and it was this one heading in, but I guess not. I had to just remind my son, the season isn't over till November now. It used to be over, here, in Aug."
Nah, that was your summer vacation. Hurricane season NEVER ended in August.
weird. today there was a crop circle show up that had swallows in it. in a dream a sparrow could be a swallow. Rev 16:2 ¶ And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and [upon] them which worshipped his image.

Damn, sorry to hear that. I hope they don't get any more damage than what happened already. ____________________________________________________

In a different time, when the words didnt rhyme, you could never quite be sure.
Then on with the change, it was simple but strange, and you knew the feeling seemed to say it all.
It cries for you. It's the least that you can do. Like a spiral on the wind.
I can hear it screaming in my mind...
Since Hurricanes are claimed to be the Wrath From God by some ... I guess that must mean that the places they strike are places God dislikes.
Who gets hit by most of them in the US?
Texas
Florida
Louisiana
Alabama
Mississippi
N Carolina
S Carolina
Virgina
Guess what all of those places that get hit have in common? They are part of the OLD SOUTH. The "Bible Thumping" part of the US. You know, the place where they were still whipping SLAVES 150 years ago and still hanging blacks at random 70 years ago.
Places that NEVER get hit by Hurricanes?
San Francisco ... the Gay Capital of the US
Los Angeles ... not far behind in the Gay arena
Chicago ... again a large Gay community
IF Hurricanes are part of God's Wrath it sorta makes you wonder who God dislikes more doesn't it? Bible Thumpers or Gays?
(personally I do NOT think they are God's Wrath ... but in reading these boards it seems that many do)

Hey, all you religious folks! Ever heard of Shariah Law?
Religion and politics together; not a pretty sight.
Much like what you've been trying to create in America with all your foolishness about "God wants this" and "God wants that"...
'Course, they're much further along; they've had it their way for centuries.
I'll start a thread for ya...

Thanks SHR,mahershalalhashbaz,October,Update so far, a couple large trees have been broken in my sisters' yard, the whole yard has standing water, the road in front is flooded with whitecaps from the wind... I don't believe it's hit full force yet. [link to upload.wikimedia.org]
Ice had coverage on this thing right off the African Coast.
Why don't you have some continuity for people that post on issues. If he called it days ago his thread should be the thread that continues the news story.
This ain't whinning its just an observation. He put a shitload of time and effort into his thread with tons of links. Credit where credit is due.
My sister-n-law told me that she saw on the news that a guy was blown off the seventh floor balcony at some hotel on South Padre Island, broke his arm and has head injuries but can't be gotten off the Island... [link to upload.wikimedia.org]

472377, over in August ? Not on planet Earth.
Usually, our first tropical storm hits the Houstson area the first part of June. But, not this year.
Usually our worst hurricanes hit the first part of September. that is when the Gulf waters along the upper Texas coast are the hottest, therefore most condusive to major hurricanes.
Late hurricanes have hit the upper Texas coast in October.
I have been through about 10 hurricanes, including Carla.
I've walked the beach looking out for dead bodies floating in , IN SEPTEMBERs past.
How about you and all of your hurricane experience, 472377?
A July storm is not the usual. We still expect that if a major storm comes our way, it will be early to mid September.
EYES WIDE, i hope your family members will be all right. It is scary as hell to see trees splitting, limbs flying, roofs and carports peeling off, and beach houses being blown off their piers floating out to sea. and the unbelievable constant tornadic roaring sound that lasts for hours and hours is indeed terrifying.
Good luck to all in the thick of it. We're only getting intermittent rain with a little wind in Houston.

Most welcome, EYES WIDE. They'll be all right. The back side of the storm won't be any more fun than the front, but the worst of the winds will soon be over. People along the Texas coast are a hardy bunch, and usually well prepared to handle it.
I can't believe the amount of posts on this thread that think this is God's wrath. This is , other than a little damage to homes, a great blessing in this part of the country. As for Katrina, yes, much damage, but it helped clear a lot of people from a dangerous area that will go under with rising ocean waters in the next generation. It also split up a dangerous & huge crime culture that was on the verge of imploding New Orleans.
Texas had been in the throws of drought, from mild to extreme in the parts being hit by this small hurricane.
while a soaking rain event would have been best, this hurricane will cool off the extreme heat we've had, and will quench the very thirsty Texas Coastline, improving our crops, and replenishing the water tables.
Ice had coverage on this thing right off the African Coast.

Indeed AC, he has a lot time and work put into it.
There's a lot of good info if you want to understand how Dolly developed, and how computer models work, etc.
I've edited; I'm a bit out of my depth here, lol
<edit>
Oh boooo, AC...ya got me!
How come YOU never bumped it?
I don't see it on the front page, eh...

Your argument falls apart when you account for Key West, which has an enormous gay poulation, and gets hammered by hurricanes regularly.
Not to mention, New York City has been hit in the past.
