cern to build a bigger hlc.the current hlc not big enough to obliverate our planet.
reports are coming through that cern are to build a new hlc with the tunnels measuring 40km instead of the current 27km tunnel.thats right folks once the current experiment has been done, provided we are still here they already planning a bigger and badder hlc. they struggling to cool the current magnets and now they are planning a protential galaxy kiler.so doomed.

If only we could build Halo like objects in space.
Read - for thy sustainer is the most bountiful one, who has taught the use of the pen, taught man what he did not know!
Nay verily man becomes grossly overweening, whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: for behold unto thy sustainer all must return.

Calm down fellow AC and stop getting in a tizz. These people at cern would'nt do a silly thing like that now would they? They only care for the welfare of the planet and for advancing science for the benefit of the whole of mankind. Have a nice warm cup of chocolate and go to bed and everything will be alright in the morning, just you wait and see. Promise.

Think the OP meant "obliterate," but can't vouch for him. And building a halo-like object in space would not be a large collider, but a habitat ring.

Note that black holes are not eternal, they evaporate due to Hawking radiation. For your average black hole this takes an unimaginable amount of time, but for really small ones it could happen almost instantaneously, as evaporation time is dependent on mass. Therefore your microscopic black hole must have greater than a certain threshold mass, roughly equal to the mass of Mount Everes t .
microscopic black hole is tricky, since one needs a reasonable amount of neutronium, but may possibly be achievable by jamming large numbers of atomic nuclei together until they stick. This is left as an exercise to the reader.
Method: simply place your black hole on the surface of the Earth and wait. Black holes are of such high density that they pass through ordinary matter like a stone through the air. The black hole will plummet through the ground, eating its way to the centre of the Earth and all the way through to the other side: then, it'll oscillate back, over and over like a matter-absorbing pendulum. Eventually it will come to rest at the core, having absorbed enough matter to slow it down. Then you just need to wait, while it sits and consumes matter until the whole Earth is gone.
Earth's final resting place: a singularity with a radius of about nine millimetres, which will then proceed to happily orbit the Sun as normal.

I have this theory that Stephen Hawking knows he is going to die soon anyway, so he wants to take everybody with him.

putting our doom aside for a minute ,what is the point in wasting millions of bucks on a 27km tunnel when before you even bloody fire it up for the blackhole experiment, you already planing a bigger hlc.why not just build the bigger one in the first place.twats.
