The FED in all out panic mode now
|
zazzman User ID: 388752 7/24/2008 5:41 PM | | Re: The FED in all out panic mode now | Quote | Hey Omega,
I emailed the FED that if they really really really wanted to do something for the common and not so common folks out there in mortgage land. That they would break the mortgage rates from the treasuries and just make it a blanket rate for at least two years. Lets see the banks rates are 2%. OK,,,make the rates for 30 year fixed across the board 4 1/2% and the rate for 15 year fixed 3 1/2%. Guess what shabang, problem solved. Anybody that cant keep a loan form going into foreclousure at that rate doesnt need to be in a house anyway. The main focus for this would be all of us that have loans at 5 1/2% or more to refi and the fence sitters to get back in the market.
Oh,,,ps I used to do mortgages for National City for a few years, but I never put anybody in any of the exotic loans unless they understood what they were getting into. I didnt need the money that bad. I only wrote a few of them in 3 year...and 3 of them was to myself...LOL and yes I came out smelling like a rose. Needless to say I got out of the mortgage business Oct. of 06. |

EDIT: don't try it fools, I was up at 5:30am this morning working in the garden.....I earned it...
HAHAHAHA 5:30 hell that's sleepin in for me and I don't know what a nap is.
I still trying to figure out if I should care?
On one side if it all goes to hell I'm points up.
On the other hand if it gets better or stays the same I'm points up.
Everything paid for, our money is in the Caymans, our taxes are $15 a year, fuel is at the local Chinese place and the donut shop and we're off the grid.
I can get from here to the boat without a fill up BUT the boat eats diesel. Maybe I should sell and get a nice sail boat?
The only real problem I see is not being able to transfer money out of the Caymans to the US. But I seriously doubt that being a problem, maybe but I don't think so. Quoting: UD 339934

Omega, why do you think that the Federal Reserve is crapping their pants? Unlike you, the people who run the Fed have something called a college education. Relax. They know what they are doing.
I got serious news for you, bro--there are a lot of university educated professors saying just whats being said here- we are collapsing and heading for hyperinflationary depression. If you wanna kick back and trust thee crooks who are running our government, you will also have to dumb down, cause the proof is staring you right in the face. I would love to say these "professionals" will stop the depression. But it is now common knowledge that all the tactics to delay it are going to make it more sudden, more severe and much longer when the shock hits. I here the real shock is about 4-6 weeks away. What is going on now is vey genteel compared to the pain that we will experiance in about 1 month. Read and study, that is all I can say. I urge every skeptic to really read and study. Acadamia sees this thing coming. May I suggest Professor Antal Fetke? You google it. Daryl Robert Schoon is another good source. Also, European acadamia: Leap 20/20. You go look for your self. But brace yerself for a shock- these bastards running our money system are fucking lying to us.
You bring up an excellent point. I agree, we can't really stop them short of another civil/revolutionary war. But what can we do to help ourselves during this time? Is there a way to limit their power - or is it already too late?
You jump to silly conclusions. I said the Federal Reserve knows exactly what they are doing. You automatically assume I mean that the Fed are trying to do what is best for the taxpayer. But I mean that the Federal Reserve is doing a great job of bankrupting the USA and making America its bitch, just like the plan dictates. The Federal Reserve is run by international financiers who want to make the world their debts slaves. I have looked at your references in the past and its nothing I dont know. But knowing means nothing....you cannot stop them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 472760 |

No, Downey goes down tomorrow. FDIC doesn't have the manpower to take down 2 entities with so many branches. FDIC is looking for buyers. Read WAMU might merge with US Bank.
Wachovia's CFO just stepped down, who knows what that means but FDIC is still looking for a buyer. |

That's what's nice about the banks in the Caymans they provide you with a counselor/consultant depending on your account.
When the bottom started dropping out of the dollar she called me asking what I wanted to do and making suggestions.
One of the suggestions was to buy and sell foreign currency.
Almost none of my holding are in US currency and at one time we were paid in gold so there is a nice sized safety deposit box in the same bank. Sort of a war chest (snicker)!
AND
When digging our new indoor rage we ran into some gold to the tune of 50oz.
I think we're covered at least I hope so. But we don't spend a lot of money we just don't need it any more. |

JUST as I intimated on another thread involving the FDIC and their lack of funds to 'SAVE everyone'.
What part of "printing money out of thin air" do you people not understand? There is an infinite supply of dollars.
What you are not seeing clearly is that they are federalizing the banking system, completely destroying the dollar, removing any and all wealth from the people such as land and homes, and doing so under the guise of 'SAVING' the economy.
The markets are 100% manipulated to their desires, and expected outcomes.
You are witnessing the greatest wealth transfer in the history of mankind.
Anyone who thinks that anything they buy on credit somehow equals wealth is not living in reality. If you make a car payment every month then you do not actually own that car and therefore it is not "wealth". You guys act just like these banks who are bundling up people debt as some kind of investment. You are not thinking right.
Now I own two cars. I own them and make no payments to anyone for them. Noone is going to come take them from me even if i were to become unemployed because I own them and owe noone anything for them.
My neighbors all have multiple cars but they do not actually own them. If they become unemployed and miss car payments someone will come take their cars because they do not actually own them.
Debt is not wealth. Just because you live in a giant house doesn't mean you are wealthy if you still owe on it. It is amazing you guys actually think being in debt is some kind of wealth and actually think someone elses debt is a good investment.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 469237
Land is and always has been regarded wealth. Same with he who owns the worlds natural resources.
At the end of the day 'someone' owns that land. If it is not you or I, who is it?

I could see it coming. He took a top that was spinning balanced very nicely, and he touched it. If you ever played with a top, once you touch it, it goes out of balance until it falls over.
Working at a job that depended on discretionary income, we immediately felt the pain. Then, it got worse for a very long time.
Now, this may sound simplistic not being a financial guru, but I'm going to say it anyway.
If the goverment really wanted to save the situation, they would take over the Fed first. They would then prop up the people, the people's money & income base.
They need to stop putting the stock market ahead of the businesses & marketplace that actually make the economy run.
Then, let the people put their money with businesses and products they trust, who have treated them fairly and honestly.
The good companies will stay in business, and eventually prosper again.
The crooks, cheats, and thieves will lose their asses, and crawl back under the rocks where they came from if we stone them with the rocks first. they'll go out of business, no longer able to feed off the people's money.
Then, the congress needs to be very watchful that this never happens again. |
