I noticed these before I ever heard about them. I was passing through northern California/southern Oregon, when I noticed three planes in the sky. So far, nothing unusual.
This part of the Amtrak trip north to Seattle can be really boring, so staring out the window up at the sky was about as exciting as it got.
So...these planes pass over, leaving long, thick trails behind them. Still, no I didn't question it.
After about a half hour, the trails spread, covering up the entire sky. This is unusual, I thought.
Bye-bye, sunny blue sky. What was that about? I've never seen that happen in my entire life...and I've lived in flat land for most of my life, watching the sky, never seeing anything like this.
They're NOT CONTRAILS. They are decidedly different.
What they are, I don't know.
I've read many theories, and find it all to be confusing.
Whatever they are, they are beyond my power to do anything about them, should they be something unhealthy. So, I don't much care about them anymore. Can't spend time worrying about something that's definitely not the usual thing, but for which I have no solid information about.
They're quite real. They spread out in a feathery fashion. And when they obscure the sun, it's like looking at an oil slick. These are not water vapor.
Still. I just don't have it in me to worry about them.
people need to realize these contrails are a way of fighting global warming. the government isn't trying to kill you. you can take the tin foil hats off now folks.
But they aren't "contrails" dumbass. Look up the definition of a contrail, and these low trails that linger for hours are NOT contrails.
That is why a different name has been given to them: chemtrails.
