It is true....christians as a whole are brainwashed by christianity....but, I'm sure a lot of their hearts are in the right place. And they do have the INTENT to be connected with the one true god.

You do not have to be a christian or part of ANY "religion" to have a connection with the true divine god, and express the divine love of the true god.

Do you actually know "most Christians"?

Inasmuch as there are about a billion Christians in the world, that means you would have to personally know more than 500 million Christians.

So many so called Christians who come to GLP are so up themselves that they speak out their arses. Most good Christians get on with their lives quietly and without intrusion into anyone else's lives.

I would agee with you to a certain extend most christians are a lot of selfrighteous people they dont know what being a christian is all about. I have learned through out the years that being a christian is a striving to be real, like Christ that is the goal, not to judge people for looks and likes we are all not perfect, being selfrighteous and judging others is the same test we are all going to have to be tested with, weather we like or not, Being a christian is this, sweep in your own back yard and leave other peoples dirt alone mind your own bussiness strive to be righteous for God.stop being critical about other people if you do not understand spirituality first find out for yourself what being a christian is all about. just being a christian because you not a muslim or ar a jew is how people class themselves if they do not belong to a certin race, then say they are christian.there is a deeper understanding about Christ and following him not verses and chapters of the bible if you do not understand, The bible is the only book that comes alive that is why it is a best seller because people are being tested to read and see their eyesight being opened nothing to do with people but between you and your maker.

Most Christians are decieved, the very elite have been deceived. In the Old Testament, Jews (they weren't yet Christians) were taught to keep separate and "pure" for fear of angering "Jehovah" or "Yahweh". I just had a so-called Christian tell me my mom was a slut b/c she was unmarried when a sibling was born. Just like Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ(ian). Go figger! She herself had 4 kids by 3 different men and was Unmarried to two of the baby's daddies! She called back to apologize. That makes it better, yeah...

Without the profanities, the Christian faith has got to be one of the most annoying, self righteous groups ever invented. I use the word invented as if you take a look at where the whole story came from, it makes no sense. Mary was a virgin but had a baby? Some bloke turned water into wine, fish into bread? A talking snake in the garden of Eden? You couldn't write this stuff (although some clever bastard did...The Bible)

Whoever wrote that must have finished and thought "hmm, good story, but no idiot will believe this shit...", well.....

I was talking to a Christian friend of mine the other day who was telling me all about how God is real etc.. I absorbed the bull I was being fed and then asked him to think about it for a second and pointed out the flaws in the Bible (ie. the whole book) Would he listen, no chance......

Why do Christians think it acceptable behaviour to preach to everyone else about their beliefs and attempt to brainwash and shove it down peoples throats yet if you give your opinion it is laughed off. Oh right, so it makes sense for a full grown human being to not only believe these absurdities but to actually live their life based on things told to them in a book but only menatl patients don't believe this.

The fact is, its a belief. It is that little something to live your life by, believing there is a greater thing oncde you die. We all know this but Christians will not even accept this? You cannot argue with a Christian without them getting on the defensive. The only possible reason is that deep down, they know like all of us do, they really need to get out more and life live, experience reality.

Agreed - and most of them don't even realize it, because saying the church-approved sinner's prayer doesn't encourage following Jesus to be truly changed. They've made it into a rote pledge of allegiance, while the tainted inside of the cup goes unexamined.

I know of few Christians in my circle who would judge you for being a non-believer. They came to their faith through a lot of life-experiences, research, soul searching and thought. I do know a lot of non-Christians who judge, however. OP, you can't complain about prejudiced when you are, likewise.
