hmmm..I agree. Then again, if you're a guy looking for girls, you might be in better luck.

that site seems to have lots of dudes with shirtless pics, motorcycles and tatooes..if you're into that thing.

that just summed up the women too

except for the toothless grandmothers of course

Dating sucks. Try exploring hobbies where you meet women out in the world and can establish chemistry naturally instead of in an "internet blind date" situation.

Or get a cute dog and take it on walks in places where women in your age group hang out. Pets are great ice breakers.

Re: My recent dating experiences through match.com and Craigslist....Quote

Thanks for sharing your online dating experiences with us OP.

Being single like you, I find the subject very interesting.

I only briefly dabbled with online dating about 8 years ago after my divorce.

It was kind of fun but I have no desire to do it again. Too many weirdos and liars.

So how does a middle aged woman meet a quality someone? You don't. Friends are all married; single friends are in the same boat as me. Can't stay out at the bars late because of police watching out for drunk drivers. And bars are really the only place to meet someone, unless fate intervenes :)

Anyways, like a few others here have said, I've given up too.

I'm okay by myself but wish it wasn't that way. We live in a couples world, after all.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Re: My recent dating experiences through match.com and Craigslist....Quote

Anybody under 35 should NOT need the services of any of those dating services if they live in a city. There are LOTS of single available people ... if you just get away from your computer and out from under your bed and go meet them!! Those who HAVE to resort to dating services in that age bracket (under 35) are generally people with social interaction problems, which is why they are using that kind of service

(NYC ... um, a special case if you are a woman. LOTS of educated women, fewer educated men. Tough place for an educated woman to meet a man who will commit since a man who is a good catch can find another woman very very quickly if he wants)

Now the farther you are on the old side of 35 the harder it is to meet available single people in your age bracket because people no longer go to places or socialize in packs. As one ages people, even if they are single, often have kids, people don't go to bars much as they age, people have demanding jobs, people have church or other volunteer commitments where most of the others they interact with are already married, etc. etc. etc. In other words the public places to meet others are almost non-existant and the informal social network is thin since everybody is into their own family life.

I tried one and actually had good success ... but then again I was expecting to run across 8 odd ball and 2 nasty women for every decent one I met. (I am older and older single women often have issues to begin with, which is why they are single - unless widowed)

Since I started with low expectations I also limited my meeting budget to COFFEE ONLY for a first meeting. WOW was I pleasantly surprised that about 1/2 of the women I met were actually nice and about 1/3 actually had their act together!! (Of course I have all sorts of tales I could tell about the other half .. but I expected that so it didn't bother me)

What you are doing with any of those dating services is playing the odds. So what if you have 10 duds ... if the 11th one is a gem!!

How many people do you meet in real life and put into the discard and never date pile before they or you ever even think about going out? Probably 19 out of 20 people of the opposite sex that you meet.

Forget the duds, think about them as being later beer joke talk, and just worry about the 1 in 10 (or whatever) who are really worthwhile.

Download Mystery Method and David Deangelo's materials and it will change your life and how you date women.

Are they those "pick up artist" tards?

laugh
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 467155

Why do you call them "tards"? You realize mystery gets basically ANY woman he wants. Have you seen his infield videos where he goes out and works his game. I'll tell you right now...I've been doing online game at plenty of fish, and I've closed out 6 phone numbers in the last 2 months. I'm a newb, so my skills are getting better EVERYDAY. It seems you've had quite a bit of success without using any materials, if you applied this stuff, you'll be attracting 10's left and right. You wont be complaining on websites like these because those 10's will be too damn good in bed.
