Hello
I tried Cuil and it sucks I put in something reall simple since it did make over 300 million this weekend "dark knight" and it came up with nill
I actually had to put in "The Dark KNight"..What!!??
Google is the best with ASK a close second Cuil is very un! |

I tested Cuil against Google with three of my usual searches.
Google had more results and far fewer duplicates than Cuil.
Cuil has a way to go in improvement IMHO. |

yep...cuil sucks
i search "kafele facebook" on cuil and only gave me 1 result but said tht there were 26...WhereTF ARE THE OTHER 25?!?!...goole gives me 433...and they're all listed..
and now tht i check again...cuil says tht there arent ne! |

I agree... it sucks. I tried to click on one of their own suggested links and it gave me an error "page does not exist" from their own fricking server.

After doing a search for "synergy" on google,
it returned 30,300,000 results in .07 seconds.
The very same search on cuil returned NO results
& said, "We didn’t find any results for 'synergy'."
Sorry, but until Cuil improves, it gets a thumbs down from me.

The problem seems to be that if there is an error with Cuil, it tells you the exact wrong thing.
It tells you it couldn't find any results, making you think, "Huh, Cuil must really suck if it cant bring anything up!".
I typed in a term that brought up over 1 million results. When I clicked on the 2nd page, it timed out. I clicked to try again, and it said it couldn't find any results [even though it had found over 1 million before].
I had to repeat the search until it worked. |

 synergy received 2,600,000 results... did you overlook them?
Why is it, on all 3 of the Cuil threads, when one of you morons post about a search turning up nothing, I run the search and get great results?
Is there some kind of Google sponsored anti-Cuil operation going on?
I have been testing Cuil all day and it has worked great; not once have I received a 'no results'; and while the results format will take a little getting used to, I think it looks much better. |

The first 3 (and, yes, i said three)
times i searched Cuil for the word *synergy*...
for whatever reason, *no results* at all
were 'what' was returned to me...
But a few minutes ago, after trying once again,
i was pleasantly surprised to see
the very same search on *synergy*
NOW returned 8,168,680 results to me.
Perhaps, Cuil, concerned with its reputation,
was made aware of this thread at GLP & remedied
the situation.. &, if so, that's a good thing, cuz methinks
'self-improvement' is always a very worthy goal to seek.
So, please take this post in whatever spirit
you may wish to take it in.
In fact, it makes no difference to me
should you even decide to be rude again.
In any case, on a 'cheer'-ier note, let´s hear it for *synergy*...

Maybe yahoo will perform better now that it jettisoned these "cuil" primadonnas. The overly promotted unfinished site can't even return a registered domain like mntnsoftware.com or pagesmaket.com not that these are popular sites but every other search brings them up! |
