The End of the 2008 Eclipse Season


Hi there, how are you faring under these eclipses? Personally, I am having a textbook case of what I described in previous emails about the eclipse period. Just days before the Total Solar Eclipse on August 1st, I experienced a death in the family that hit me pretty hard. It was a powerful emotional (cathartic) response that came out of nowhere. Even though my Aunt (who was like a second mother to me, and also my Godmother) had been ill for some time, I simply didn't see my intense reaction coming! I had written that the August 1st eclipse was like a lightning bolt - yep that's what it felt like! Long story short: A lot of shadow material from my subconscious emerged to be felt and cleared. The changes in my life, of course, are massively for the better, as is always the case with eclipses.

This email will describe (a little early so we can prepare) the "book-end" eclipse of this month's eclipse vortex - a Partial Lunar Eclipse with the sun in Leo and the moon in Aquarius. This eclipse occurs on August 16th. Remember that we are already feeling the effects of it now, as eclipses begin their effects two weeks or longer before they actually occur. Many of my mentors and colleagues are saying that the August 16th eclipse is the more powerful of the two. Oh boy, I hope not. I don't think I can take it! (LOL) Read on for my own take on the August 16th eclipse.

P.S. If you aren't "getting anything" around these eclipses, don't worry (and btw consider yourself blessed!) "Not everyone experiences eclipses equally - unless you are a particularly lunar person (strong Moon or Cancerian influences) or unless the eclipse aspects your planets/chart personally, you may not experience an immediate effect. The eclipses mark a turning point, but the significance may not be immediately obvious as both the solar conscious principle and the lunar instincts are obscured and we journey in darkness." So, even if you aren't experiencing anything around an eclipse season (or any celestial occurrence for that matter), first consider yourself fortunate! And then use these times of influxing energy into the earth to do ceremony, set your intentions, pray and meditate for all good things personally and globally.
