What the FUCk is this HUMMing SOund

I lived in Sisters, Oregon several years ago, the hum seemed to be in the ground, sometimes so strong to wake me up and I couldn't get back to sleep.
The entire Eastern Oregon area is riddled with lava tunnels and caves from old volcanic activity; my theory is that the wind blowing across the mouths of the caves is like blowing across a bottle and creates a low frequency humming in the Earth. It sounds like a generator running a distance off, similar to 60 cycle hum.
At one point in time the noise was so well known that the University of Oregon was going to investigate, back in the early 80's. But now it is difficult to research back to find that information.

I crossed your tread today on july 6, 2010 because I was researching this humming again. I've heard it more and more often and at different frequencies; I judge them on a scale of 1 to 10 ten being the worst; Today it is about a 10 for me it began back in 2004,I use to keep notes on the dates and times it would start and stop. Funny-odd it is happening today on the day of the Israel peace talks, and the same day the Queen is in New York. I believe this sound is the earthquake machine called "H.A.A.R.P." in Alaska. I researched this technology by Tesla and what the Russians did to the U.S. embassy in Germany with thier own small type of machine. Causing many to suffer and have low levels of ceritonin in the brain waves thereby causing mass depressions; this is all documented. But mostly I believe the oil mess is not just a mess in the gulf but a tear in the earth and crack which could have been fixed but some are trying to exploit and will use the haarp to spit the states up the mississippi, and put america into a "state of emergancy." In my family I am the one who had metal in my teeth at a young age I believe this is why I am picking up the reception of the buzz also while others in my family too, are unable to hear it. No I don't have Tennitus either. This is what I look for, High altitude chemtrail spaying, the chemical has bromium aluminum in it, the micro wave from haarp uses the little gathered metal to bounce and pinpoint from to hit. or bounce to another area. think banking a pool ball off the sides of a pooltable to get it into a certain pocket. Anyway I must say the use of it is radically wrong to us whom suffer the barage of constant bulling.

In fact, its 5:20 AM and I just woke to the sound. I hear it here, and I heard it where I used to live 40 miles away. I suspect all these vertical arrays I see all over the place. Hmmm...

I agree!I have metal in my teeth too!I think it is used for control of the populace!In a low depressive state the majority stop questioning and become apathetic!Look at what is happening in the Gulf!The media say clean water no oil no damage when it is obvious that is a lie and they get away with it!Just one look at the ROV cams tells us that something very wrong is going on!!!!!!The tragedy is that we can't seem to escape this.It is pervasive.There are so many times that I have wanted to listen to the SOUND of SILENCE......

I experienced that "humming" for the last two years I lived in Florida. But, since I moved to the rural Ozarks, it is barely noticeable. I think it is caused by the cell phone towers and doppler radar energies....they create a "web" like a "electromagnetic net" above the earth. The denser the population density, the stronger the HUMMMMM!

Where would you cast your net, if you were fishing....where the school is the thickest! GET OUT OF THE CITIES OR YOU WILL BE SNARED!

anything to cover-up the source of the humming.

this is the thing...the humming is electricity and energy...so it seems just like everthing else that is electric. when you are hyper aware you will feel that you are actually connected to the street lights..almost as you are what is providing them with their power.

if what is written in the above post were true then the humming should be consistent all of the time and you'd feel it, not just at certain times of the day when you are calm...at night and early morning...the cell towers work all day and night at the same power.

you feel it when you do because you are calm...its not because it is quiet outside....

take a nap in the middle of the day...be quiet...and feel it.

go to the wilderness where there is no technology of any kind...be calm and you will still feel and hear it.

For those who truly hear this, and when it pulses in waves you feel as well as hear (and no one who lives with you, including your pets does) do you notice:

1.) Energy sources around your home, in your home are weakened or drained? From car batteries, to remote controls, to solar panels for pathway lighting.

2.) Quirky brown outs unrelated to peak times of energy use? Lights dim or television or computer fades and ups again in energy?

3.) Energy surges that startle you, close to harm, but inflict fear of use. These can also include the simple act of lighting a match, by the way--for example, if lighting a match, does it combust at an unusually explosive degree than the norm?

4.) Clocks that are going to slow or too fast. Your time is always askew.

5.) Quirky on and offs. Phone rings once or so, stops--and there is no data on caller ID. Channels change on television or television just shuts off unexpectedly. Things need to be started twice, an oddity you may not notice, but then you realize you're hitting "start" or "on" more than once.

6.) Extraordinary drying out of your home, yard. More dust seems apparent, no matter how much you dust. Trees are brittle, leaves with dark edges, you thirst more.

7.) Tingling you feel every so often. This is not typical tingling, it is exclusively either one side or the other with a distinct line on your body where on side feels an electric-type tingle, the other does not. For example, if you feel a tingle in your back, it would be exclusive to either the left or right side. When you rub where your tingle is toward your spine, you will notice the cutoff point for that sensation STOPS at the spine. If there is a sensation on your face, it is either left or right, and will STOP right at the precise center of your face--only one nostril to the center of your nose, from your right incisor (for example) over, half of your face precisely, distinctly, without question. You could part your hair in an exact precise division of your skull by marking the stopping point of this sensation.

If you hear this pulsing again, get the courage and go outside. Look to the east, stay there. Then look straight up, straight over your head. Make sure you are perfectly EAST.

They will leave a symbol for you and leave. Study what the symbol is. You will find it within your sight when you look EAST after the sun comes up.

"This low noise sounds like someones bass from outside or from home stereo."

This is the sentence that got my attention. I hear and feel a low-sound vibration late at night while trying to go to sleep. It' so irritating, and been going on for years.

What helps with the sound part is listening to Coast2Coast, but there's no way to stop feeling that vibration through my bed, and reverberates through the air. There is nothing going on in the neighborhood that late at night, so I came to the conclusion that it must be periodic underground tunneling.

Sometimes, during the day, I hear that "motor-type" sound and go out to look to see if someone is mowing the lawn or a vehicle is idling. I look up into the sky to see if a plane is flying overhead. Nothing.

Since we're all hearing these strange vibrations, that's half the battle. At least we know we aren't nuts, but wise to the perps who are unleashing these electro-magnetic pulses on us that were used in Iraq on the insurgents if that, indeed, is the cause.

But last night I heard it myself, checked every possible source within the house, outside the house, and even thought I was either going nuts or dreaming at one point.

I've been living with this sound for years. It initially drove me crazy but I've learned to live with it now and completely ignore it.

To me it sounds like a diesel generator off in the distance and I've heard it here in Florida, up in Maine and out in California so can't say what it is.

I live in Wouldham on the River Medway in England. I have been gearing this hum for two months now- starts about 11 PM at night and stops at 7ish in the morning. I go outside to hear where it is coming from but it gets confused....when I shut the door back inside, it is clear again- a low drone like a generator- it is NOT coming from inside my house and it is driving me mad.

SYNC NOW WITH IT or it will tear you apart at the molecular level.

It's what is being called the Taos Hum. I've heard it for about 5 1/2 years now. In the the beginning it was really destroying my life but slowly I got used to it. Now only occasinally it's so strong that it bothers me.

I can't say that I have also 'heard' the same 'humming sound' that is being discussed.

I think that I have experienced it,
or something very similar.

In light of the many (& varied) comments,
I just wanted to add something that may help explain the 'hum.'

Many years ago,
I was reading a book about UFOs,
& the author described some phenomena associated w/ earthquakes.

He theorized that the piezoelectric effect of seismic pressure,
on various mineral deposits underground,
was able to produce extremely low frequency sound,
as well as electrical signals.

His theory was that the sound &/or electrical signals could,
under the right conditions,
cause some of the effects associated w/ earthquakes,
or UFOs, for that matter.

I submit that, the 'hum,' &/or pressure,
are related to the same phenomena,
experienced as 'hauntings,'
for those mentally predisposed to that 'explanation,'
or in some cases, UFOs.

I have personally observed the phenomenon of one piece of sheet metal,
on a separate & not connected piece of equipment,
begin to vibrate in unison w/ the vibrations emanating from the primary source,
another piece of equipment.
The vibrations in machine exciting the other machine to vibrate synchronously,
much like the real-life example of "Vic Tandy,"

I have noticed this Hum for about 6 years here in the Netherlands. Maybe longer. Depending on the weather conditions (wind or fog) I can hear the vibration/sound better or worse. The hum is always there and it always comes from the same direction. Sometimes it keeps me awake at night.

So I am curious to hear from other humhearers whether they also hear the hum coming from the same direction ?
I live close to Amsterdam and the hum I hear always comes from the seaside. The hum-direction is more or less North or North-West from the place I live. (My guesses so far were that I was hearing the noise of a big underground watersupply pump or the vibration of a windmill park)

Could everybody who reads this let me know from which direction they hear the Hum coming from !
Maybe by drawing a couple of hunderd "humhearing" lines over the globe we can pinpoint the source(s)..

Let's solve this mystery !

I've been experiencing this hum for 7 years. I've heard a name associated with it, I cannot recall the name. I know it is two words and I believe the first word is associated with the South West. Has anyone else heard of this...

Huge earthquake yesterday morning ....

And guess what , NO hum last night ..... woohoo , it was bliss

Christchurch hum sounds like an electrical fault , the noise might be like a beehive outside your window ...it pulses at times .....and drives you insane .

Bloody street sweeper trucks ....working all hours of the night ...the sound carries 10 or more KM's ......ya feel it inside ya head as well as hearing it ...

The clowns who think they 'rule' are attempting to use a 'frequency fence' to reinforcing the human mind in a dimensional prison. This is what you hearing.

HAARP plays a role in this as well as all the cell phone masts. Coupled to the programming via the media and other 'cultural projects', its quite effective in keeping the cattle locked within their psycho-spiritual cages where they get to pretend they're 'god'. Most don't want to get out, even if they are made aware of it.

Tinnitus, go get a hearing test that will tell you immediately.
