Looks like a DC "Servo" motor off an old CNC type machine to me. There are tons of scraped out old CNC type machines around, motors probably aren't too hard to find. Not sure how they hold up for a long run, braking energy has to go someplace too, not sure how a liquid cell car type battery would handle that. Pretty cool though, lol, the quietness is kinda creepy....maybe have to put some baseball cards in the spokes....;)
