If america had the kind of health care system they have in the UK, Canada or Cuba, you would not be able to get a heart transplant because no one would have gone to the trouble to invent the proceedure.

The reason we have the best medicine in the world is because people spend 20 years in school and run up a quarter of a million dollars in school loans and then work their asses off for peanuts to be able some day to make it all back plus a lot more. That is the motivation to work 20 hours a day developing new drugs and medical proceedures that save lives. ITS FOR FUCKING PROFIT YOU IDIOT.

No nationalism? Not likely. The U.S. has a virulent ultra nationalism that professes superiority over other nations and peoples. That is not a benign apple pie nationalism of feeling good to be American and feelimg proud of our achievements. What we have is dangerous for ourselves and the world. I dont see any of two top candidates advocating apple pie nationalism, but I do see them continuing to promote superiority at the world and at us -- Obama a tad less than McCain.

No borders? Well for the corporations, yes. For us we dont have that luxury. In reality we are imprisoned indside our borders: people in power use fear of the outside and impose restrictions on our movements to limit our exposure of the outside. Obama does talk of leaning on the corporations, he does talk of strenghtening friendships abroad, he does talk of renewing a lost respect for America by other peoples. Is he sincere? Perhaps. If so, will he succeed? It's an uphill battle that's for sure.

Isolationism? That is not offered by anyone.

Offensive against enemies? Do you mean an enemy worthy of war, containement, or a unified diplomatic response? Only you can answer which you prefer... But Obama IMO is somewhere between the frist two, though he says the later. However, McCain is clearly just another nut case itching make his mark on history to be a war prez before he leaves this world....
