Kill yourself, it's the only logical way.
For some reason though, I doubt your looking for any personal truth. Most will respond with something to the liking of "I know 'he' exists", or "I don't have to die to know".
Ask god for the location of wmd's in Iraq. Funny, right? |

If you really understand the reasons behind why YOU must believe and have faith, I think you will find very selfish reasoning behind it. It is all tied up with your ego and the fact that you won't exist after life is so terrifying to you that you MUST have faith. Faith is not for the benefit of some non-existant God. Faith is for you. Faith involves belief in some imaginary being who is watching you and loving you. And that is really silly and quite stupid.
As far as a creator, maybe there is one, who knows? But does he watch you, listen to your prayers, care about you, etc., that is very, very unlikely. That is something a child would believe and that is why you believe in God. It is all about you...you...you. |

.
You cannot prove there is no God.
Scientists tell us there are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on all the beaches of the world.
The nearest star to Sol is light years away.
The analogy is a life form, existing on a grain of sand attempting to reach a conclusion about something so distant it is difficult to comprehend.
If you counter that scientists could be wrong as they often are (not to mention speculative and dogmatic) you are merely demonstrating our ignorance as a civilization and furthering my hypothesis.
Religion?irrelevant,this is a philosophical hypothesis.
Someone will inevitably counter "you cannot prove there is a God"
Perhaps, but not the point of this exercise.
Relevance? The biggest conspiracy of all. GodlikeProd? good place to debate it.
Being as religion (any) is one of two things;
1)Inspired truth of divinity
or
2)a contrivance of man
therefore
1)proves the existence of God
or
2)is irrelevant to the existence or non existence of God
as stated in other posts,to be able to disprove a divine being, two things must occur
1)travel beyond the known universe and unknown universes
2)travel to the smallest dimension of the atom, particle,or smallest subset of aforesaid particle
Here are a few things to help you understand.
1)Higgs Boson (the field not the band)
2)unexplained phenomena (too numerous to mention)
-----------------
Someone may counter "what if this is all an illusion" (matrix theory)
this argument is very old (Aristotle or Plato,I don't know, who cares) and proves nothing
actually points more in favor of divinity,as we are all beings of light and vibration, that is,harnessed energy
-----------------
If you want to know the truth you must clear your mind of preconceived notions. You must open your mind.
You cannot prove there is no God.
This is a good place to start.
I don't have,nor claim to have all the answers,however;
You cannot prove there is no God.
You are welcome to try. Quoting: RHH
God is an equal opportunity God .. we all will find out if he existed when we die. .those who were saved from thier Sins by the Blood of Christ , will go on to heaven, those not saved from thier sins, will go |

The truth is we are all co-creators of the physically manifested reality. Be it human or plant or stars. We're all making it up as we go along.
Think of existence and non-existence as being the most fundamental duality. Non-existence is the realm of all things that are possible. Existence is the realm of all things actual.consciencesness plucks from the realm non-existence and brings it into the physical world. |

If God does not exist, why talk about it? You can't prove that it does. Is it a man, woman, or it? You don't know but you have it in your head that it is a man with a white beard, i.e., Santa Claus. So if God died tomorrow, would you miss him? How would you know? You wouldn't know because God is invisible and imaginary. And you think MY argument is weak. Try to convince me of the reality of God without some silly story from the Bible or some silly story from your own head like "God talked to me and told me I was wonderful." If you can't do that, then I think it is YOUR argument that is weak. |

I'm not trying to prove he exists,I'm demonstrating that you can't prove he doesn't.
This is an exercise in logic and open mindedness.

I'm sorry to repeat myself. I've said this on other threads. This is where I'm at. And it's not a happy place. Because I understand both sides of this discussion.
We live in a paradox. Yes I have faith because my soul feels a higher calling despite this world! Or...nothing makes sense in this world so we must be mistake...
Yet our heart and soul yearns to be where it wants to be. And it's not here, is it? That's what drives us crazy.
And best of all, speaking of grains of sand, our little planet is like...0000000001 percent ?? of the volume of our galaxy, let alone the universe.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Feel free to correct me on my figure, but you get the idea.

If we assume (I think correctly) that there are varying degrees of consciencesness than everything is conscience from the living to the inanimate. For example the instructions given to form a rock or a star or a person are all determined at the atomic and smaller levels. Higher life forms just have a more organized form of conscienceness in that u have a symbolic mind, with sensory perception, memory, and the ability to recall from memory whereas a rock just has the ability to just have the elements required to maintain its rockness.
For a great story google "isaac asimov" and "let there be light" to read a great story which will take u to some wonderful conclusions as to where things come from and where they are headed. |
