Yeah, they place those machines on the cow's teets and are relentless in the daily milking process. Had a lady at a natural health food store tell me about this years ago. She said the cow's teets become imflamed and swollen until infection sets in...and of course, you then get the pus.
Nasty thought...
the machines are not the main cause... the true cause is that the heffers are kept in a forced "synthetic" pregnancy/post-pregnancy state in order to keep their milk production going... they only get the minimum recovery time required to keep them from going into shock.
this constant state causes much stress to all of their pubic, menstrual and reproductive organs (not to mention the psychology) which results in infections (which are much worsened by the endless antibiotics pumped into them) that are allowed to remain for a long time because their immune system is next to shut down. Wow, thank you for that information. I remember her mentioning something about antibiotics.
The poor animals. |

Also, do human beings need milk? Is it good for people? |

The puss must be why milk always makes me sick. I can't even eat ice cream.
I have to drink soy instead and use it in my cereal. Hot and cold.

LOL! You're clueless. My farmer's pigs are are fed milk from cows and can't get enough of it. You can say the same for his dogs and cats too. Anyone else want to add to the list? *Sheesh*
Given that, I don't drink the commercial swill. My milk is local, raw and yummy!

It certainly might be. The pancreas has only a limited supply of digestive enzymes. Once it runs out, that's it. It's best to get your enzymes from foods to reduce the stress on the pancreas. Real (raw) milk has the enzyme lactase that processes lactose. Pasteurization destroys this enzyme. Lactaid is nothing more than swill that has added the lactase enzyme back.
I had begun developing symptoms of lactose intolerance a few years ago. Once I made the switch to raw, I've had absolutely no problems.

where do you think MRSA comes from? a strain of stapholococcus that is extremely resistant to antibiotics; most logical conclusion is that the strain has been exposed to many antibiotics for a LONG time.
pure and simple, these devastating pathogens come from, if not genetically altered to be such, various animals that are pumped full of antibiotics practically all their life - cows and others. I WILL NOT let consequences dictate my course of action!

I had a friend in Okeechobee that worked at a dairy. She took me there one day to see the operation from start to finish and believe me when you see what is actually in milk you won't ever drink it again. It's beyond nasty.
Drink your soy and almond and rice milk then and let the rest of us enjoy our heavenly creamy nastiness. I want to see you skim the cream off of a freshly milked rice or soy or almond and make yourself some butter, or cheese or homemade ice cream. You could tell me that the cow pissed in it and I will still eat my shredded wheat tomorrow morning swimming in a big bowl of whole milk. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 472041
My father passed away from cancer here not so long ago....it really got me thinking about how I live. Ive always been a jock/partier in the past but stopped both about 10 years ago. So now Im on a full blown health kick.
The only time I drink milk is with my morning coffee, thats down to one cup.
Have you ever tried garlic sauteed in olive oil with just a touch of salt? It tastes just like drawn butter if you do it right. Man I do miss cheese though....big time! They have the power to create reality
I could explain it better but I would need charts, graphs and an easel.
By the way....which ones pink? |

peta is notorious for smearing facts into a nasty conglomeration of sensationalized bullshit like this...
of COURSE milk contains cells, all animal milk does... your mom's milk did! your bed and pillow contain trillions of YOUR shed cells, not to mention billions of dust mites all feeding on them...
this is why milk is pasteurized, and as long as the pasteurization is done correctly (the FDA spot tests dairies regularly...) the cells in milk are dead by the time you drink them.
Do you think the cow/pig/chicken meat you eat doesn't have dead white blood cells in it?
