dogs/beano
On the rec of our vet we often give our Boston Terrier a tab of Beano... once or twice per day right before eating. It helps a lot. He goes from farting unbelievably to just farting now and then.

Re: dogs/beano
The finest, best dog I've ever had, and maybe ever met, had a real flatulence problem.

One evening whilst I was surfing, he was curled up as dogs do, nose to tail, asleep.

Then he sneezed, woke up, and walked out of the room. The air swirled, and it hit me. Actually shocking. Just rancid.

In mine youth I once walked behind a mule as mine maternal grandfather said I must learn to "hoe cotton, boy".

Jeep's fart was as bad as that mule's. I have yet to see any other creature fart so badly that it woke itself from a sound sleep.

Jeep could have used some Beano!

Give cottage cheese to stop diarrhea. Mix in with his food if he won't eat it plain.

My dog has pancreatitis and gets diarrhea if he eats anything fatty -- try not giving table scraps. When I want to give him people food I given him chicken, but not chicken skin.

Thankfully he doesn't need Beano.

We have a sweet yellow Lab that sometimes gets the bad toots. Vet said that some dogs can't digest soy or any carbohydrates (check your feed bag). He also said it was OK to give her Beano. Diamond brand dry food from the feed store seems to be OK. She's a little stinker sometimes. :)
