Think about it for a moment. Let's say we had a ring of suns around the earth, with their edges appearing to touch one another, and going in a direction as to appear to go overhead from one horizon to another for a particular observer. Each sun is one-half degree wide, as is the real sun, and so there are 720 of them required to make a complete 360 degree ring. Now move the ring (or the earth) so that the ring appears to be around the horizon, with each sun in the ring being on the horizon, for that same observer. If the image of each sun were larger, say 0.51 degrees instead of 0.50 degrees as when overhead, how can there still be the same number of them in a complete circle? 720 of them at 0.51 degrees diameter would equal just over 367 degrees, but there is only 360 degrees in a full circle.

At mid-day when your indirect view of the sun you are closest to the sun at that point, then, why is it that at sunset when the Earth according to science is spinning away from the sun (getting further), does the sun seem bigger when in fact it should look smaller because we are distancing ourselves away from the sun?

Because the Earth doesn't revolve around the sun, its the sun that revolves around the Earth, this is why its bigger when you see it sinking on the horizon, its mid-day on someone elses region of the Earth, thus, lower from where we are because of the curve of the Earth (horizon), the sun is no longer above us, its vertical to our ground level, that's why its bigger.

Its not light being bent for the LAST TIME, the colors don't chose the mirage, on a hot road surface those heat waves are the color of the pavement, because the light is not bent only your interpretation of the image, that's why they call it an optical phenomenon or illusion!!!

2. Those links refer to mirages - and do not in any way reference the planets - have you really read them.

The idea that the observed planets are mirages is laughable and something you just made up, not supported by the links you quoted in anyway. Planets move in an extremely predictable way that can be forecast years ahead of time, mirages are transient atmospheric phenomena whose appearances cannot be forecast years in advance.
