anybody else offended by the 9 per centers (Barky, grandpa) suggesting we use tire gauges?

LOL, my Dad taught me to use a tire gauge when I got my first bike at 5 years old. I didn't really need a senator to tell me that.

What they say is true, keeping your tires inflated to the proper levels and keeping your engine tuned will keep your cars MPG at its peak. Ask any mechanic.

I do agree that its a load of shit that they are saying it as a fix to gas prices, but they are telling you the truth.

i expect a little more from the idiots who want to lead the US into the next decade.
if they want to expound on car maintenance, then they should bring out Click and Clack, the car guys on NPR.

this presupposes the idea that saving gas would lower the price at the pump.

i use lots less gas, and the price is still stupid high.

Anybody that has ever read their car owner's manual knows that.

These idiots get paid $168,000 per year to tell us what basically every driver on the road knows already?

Granted, a lot of those drivers don't seem to give a damn about maintaining their vehichles....

I've always thought there should be some basic safety and maintenance test along with the driver's test to get a license
