The short answer is YES. Not all, but certonly a great many rock groups are devil worshippers. And not shy about making it plain to their fans either. As usual there is a Chick tract that covers the subject...

Thanks for the glaring generalizations, OP. Awesome critical analysis of the genre as a whole. You couldn't have picked a better two bands to serve your agenda. Bravo.

So tell me wise one, what should we be listening to?

I'll skip the brainwashing, thanks.

Whoever said there were 8 different notes: there are 12 notes in the chromatic scale, the thirteenth being the first note of the next octave.

I'm sure if we all listened to gospel the world would be a great place.

I can say christian music is destroying the world with the same kind of reasoning.

Stop reading religious text and look up what your christian ancestors have been doing the past 1500 years, now THAT is evil, or whatever you want to call it.

OP do you see that the morals of the people of the United States have degenerated over the years? The replies on this thread are frightening.

These people try to make Christianity seem vile, when in fact, true spirituality, and a closeness with GOD is for the pure of heart. I am not talking about religion. I am not a member of any religious organization. Most of the churches have strayed from the true message, as prophesied. However those that align themselves with darkness and identify with Lucifer and the celebrities that espouse demonic influence will soon find that the darkness is not their friend.

I am with you OP. I find most of this music depressing. It is not uplifting at all. It preys on the weak minded, and draws them into the web. Marilyn Manson is vile.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 454051

What I find frightening are the born-again Christer
fanatics.

It's NOT just music that the Christers are knocking.

They are pushing a Christer social agenda.

I want NO part of their "Christian" society.

Throughout all time and eternity, I REJECT and RENOUNCE and CURSE the Holy Spirit.

May their nasty little Nazarene weep!

In the "cultural war" which the Christers have declared, I say:

Take NO prisoners!

Jesus Ben Panthera’s followers must go.

goaway

Cast out all those who follow the Nazarene BASTARD son of a Roman soldier and a Palestine whore.

Rock Music? Are you kidding OP? You're about 20 years late for thatbus, and no, we were the last generation of truly aware people that weren't addled by the Net, texting, and other media.

RAP with it's ghetto bullshit and hate and murder promotion, contempt for women and authority is what's ruined the youth of America and other nations. It' should be banned. It's absolute garbage.

I think MTV pulled metal in 1992, and replaced it with rap garbage is because bands like Megadeth had too much to say about the state of the world.

All rap is about is self self self, bling bling and materialism at ANY cost. Gang bangers. It's mindless.

Re: Is Rock Music Leading America Into Lucifer's Kingdom?Quote

Maybe Christianity IS vile? Ever think about God who sends people to hell to suffer forever and ever??? Now that is VILE! Maybe some people don't really appreciate your Jesus who just came to save a very, very few? Remember how he said, "The road is narrow and few find the way." And remember how he told the Pharisees that they were going to hell in a handbasket, all because they followed the law. And Jesus thought they were hypocrites. I'll bet, if he were alive today, he would think the same of you. He seemed to have very high standards. Those Pharisees thought their shit didn't stink. But Jesus didn't seem to like their arrogant, proud attitude. Kind of like you guys in here who think all rock musicians are hell bound.

And Jesus said he came to fulfill the law. He said if you thought a bad thought about someone, you may as well have killed them. So if you think you are going to get a "Get to Heaven" free card, you are wrong. You don't get there just because you believe in Jesus. Jesus said MANY will call his name, but he will turn them away. And those Pharisees sure believed in him, especially when he called them "Sons of Satan." And then there were those people who did miracles in the name of your Jesus and drove out demons too. He sent those folks to hell too. And he said, "If you do not have the righteousness of the Pharisees, you will not see the kingdom of heaven." Sounds like the road is mighty narrow, and hey, he DID say that.

So maybe God is the vile one? He really is a monster, no matter what you think. Oh, I know, you think he is up in heaven looking down at you with a big smile on his face. But you COULD be wrong, and chances are really good that you are wrong. So when one day you stand in front of him and he says, "I never knew you." And as you do screaming and wailing into the eternal flames, I hope you remember the time you thought of Marilyn Manson as evil. He will seem like a kitten compared to your God. And at that time, you will KNOW the face of evil. It is the face of the one you thought you loved, that is until he turned on you. And all because you thought your shit didn't stink. Is it fun being a Pharisee?

Well, actually, I'm not very happy. But I don't live my life in a fantasy world, just trying to make myself happy all the time. I am not a little child. I live in a real world, and the real world is pretty shitty. I hear horrible stories every day and I don't have a God to depend on, like most of you. I don't believe some invisible creator is up in the sky looking down at me with a big smile on his face. I think God is invisible and imaginary so I don't have the crutch that you all have to lean on. I am doing in alone.

I prefer to live this way. Happiness is really not all that important to me. If I can get my message out, to even a few people, then that will make me happy. If I can get a few people to stop believing in imaginary beings, like God, Satan, angels, demons and unicorns, I will be happy. Most people prefer their fantasy world, and they are happy. But they are not living in the real world. I prefer to truth to my own happiness.

And I am happy sometimes, not all the times. I was happy tonight when I ate a big icecream sundae but then I felt depressed when I realized I just ate ALL THOSE calories. So, yeah, life pretty much sucks for me. I deal with it best I can.

Ever heard of sarcasm?

I've said this many times over, it part of the rock thing.

No-one ever blames country music for the rise in depression, why not? Most country is about cheating, love lost and despair.

Rap is about guns and drugs and gansters..

Rock is sbout satan and anger. Big Fuckin Deal.

The first names of the Genesis geneaology translate literally into
"man is appointed mortal sorrow, but the blessed God shall come down teaching that his death shall bring the despairing comfort."

You think the ancient rabbis conspired to hide the gospel in their Torah? No chance.

Even Jesus said we are to endure.

You're right, this life is tough for most of us. It is here that we are refined as silver, through the trials and the fire, we come through for what we truly are.

Re: Is Rock Music Leading America Into Lucifer's Kingdom?Quote

Hi 475033: You are not like I am. I think you think that if you endure you will receive some eternal reward. I think that if I live my life in the best way I possibly can, then my reward for that will be here. No, I am not happy, but I don't get my happiness from some invisible God. You believe in something imaginary, and you endure for him, or whatever you call it. I just live my life for myself, and I don't plan on going anywhere after death. I plan to go back to dust, or if I am cremated, I plan to be scattered over some shopping mall. Maybe then my kids will come see me once in a while. Oh shit, after we die, we will be gone. That is the real truth.

I love rock music. I love all the modern bands and I am actually old. What person in their 50s can say the Lostprophets is one of their favorite bands? I have an IPOD and I have over 1,000 songs on it, most of them modern rock music. And I don't feel bad about it because this music has taught me a lot. I hate when people say things like Marilyn Manson is evil. He is not evil and this makes me angry. He is no more evil than you or I. He is just expressing a part of his personality and that is a part of him. He can't help who he is. He can't be you and you can't be him. We are all alike because we are ALL flawed. That is the real truth. We are all stuck here on this shitty planet and we have no future, and there is no purpose. We are like some stupid ant that we smash on a sidewalk. After it all is over, that will be us. We are no more important than that, and that sucks. But what can we do about it?

Well, we can create a fantasy world if we want. We can pretend that some imaginary being is looking down at us with a big cheesy grin on his face. We can pretend he is listening while we pray. We can pretend that he is interested in us and cares about us and loves us more than we could ever imagine. We can pretend that he is preparing a lovely place, just for us. We can imagine that everything we do is pleasing and perfect to God. But all this is just a fantasy. And I don't prefer to live in a fantasy world. I guess that makes me the bad guy. I don't know. But I can only be who I am.
