Very true. I've never been in a flood or had my house flooded so I don't know.

But I did almost have my house burn down from a raging wild fire. I know what it is like to have to evacuate in minutes and try to decide what you can and should take with you. I know the anxiety of not knowing if my house will still be standing when I return.

SO I try to say some prayers for everyone around the globe who is going through some sort of disaster be it fire, flood, famine, earthquak or volcano or war.

Wet weather won't end anytime soon, meteorologists say.

The National Weather Service in Gray earlier this morning issued a flood warning until 8:45 a.m. for Freeport, Pownal, Lisbon Falls, Durham and Topsham as heavy rain swept through the area. According to the service, some areas received two to three inches of rain in three hours.
