Yes mothers of young children ARE exhausted and in that state it is hard for one to be even interested in sex (one would rather sleep!). Unfortunately most married men don't get that it is exhaustion that causes the wife not to want to have sex (because of the children). If the man would stop and take over the children and let wife sleep maybe then she'd have the energy for sex!

When a couple decides to have children, it is a BIG CHANGE that most husbands don't get. It will be years before the sex life returns to normal (once the kids get old enough to stop draining the mom). One thing I hate is to hear men complaining they are neglected because the wife is busy with kids. DUH get a freaking clue - it's not that the wife is neglecting you on purpose (in most cases that is haha)quit complaining that you are neglected it is a part of having kids!!

Of course this doesn't apply to those couples who have around the clock nannys to handle the kids thus the wife has plenty of energy for sex.
