Amazing 5,000-year-old skeletons laid on bed of flowers found in Sahara - proving desert was once green and lush
A tiny woman and two children were laid to rest on a bed of flowers 5,000 years ago in what is now the barren Sahara Desert.

Researchers discovered the slender arms of the youngsters still extended to the woman in a perpetual embrace.

The remarkable cemetery is providing clues to two civilisations who lived there, a thousand years apart, when the region was moist and green.

There is much of "history" that mankind has yet to discover.

The Truth is not what they believe/teach.

Desertification is often man made.

Africa, Middle East:

People gathering firewood still destroy the few trees left.
A recent National Geographic showed a woman's bundle of branches being confiscated because she had taken the wood from trees in a preserve.

Timber industry had clear-cut entire countries over the centuries.
Forests of Europe mostly date from just after the 14th century plague wiped out much of the population.

I've seen clear-cut areas in the USA that would become deserts had not someone planted a monoculture of easily harvested trees.
Eg: Southern forests are new growth 'paper-pines'.

North America, South America, SE Asia fires are still used to "clear" farmland.

Well no not exactly AC. Easter Island is a small ISLAND which the people denuded and caused their own starvation and downfall.

I highly doubt if the people in the ancient Sahara back in the day (way before the Easter Island problems to the best of my knowledge) had the capability to ruin their land.

I'm just throwing this out there, I could be wrong.

You do have a valid point but I don't think the dots connect in this instance.

Modern day Haiti is a perfect example of what you're talking about.

We don't need to prove that the desert was once lush, and secondly there are such things as oasis with lots of life in deserts, no reason flowers couldnt have come from something like that..

still interesting for historical purposes

I keep saying this and people keep ignoring me,
GO to your local library and read the Nordic sagas.
Leif Ericson Reported in the year 1000 a.d. that they could not grow wheat and cattle in Greenland anymore, therefore they had to do exploritory missions and discovered Vinland
(Nova Scotia) most likely, indicating regular climate changes on our planet??????? DUH?

No--it got colder from a time the world was much warmer than it is today--simple facts that the PTB like to ignore.

There has been excellent glaciological work done in Greenland. here is a very noticeable change in the inhabitants diets due to the loss of farming weather. It reached a point were animals could not be maintained there--and eventually people got tired of just eating fish and packed up and headed someplace else.

he Vikings did not drag the ice south by their cows flatulence.

Everybody knows the sahara and middle east were once lush forest and savannah.

Goats, cattle and cutting down the trees ruined it.

Many people assume that since there's little visible water in the Sahara TODAY that there's no water there and never was- that's NOT the case. It's just subsurface. Case in point- Libya.

150,000 cubic kilometers of groundwater.

[link to www.economist.com]

And that's not the only aquifer in the region by a long shot either.

This, lol. 99.9% of humanity are retarded sheep-apes.

There was a "little ice age" after the middle ages that drove settlers out of the northern islands.

The earth routinely goes through hot periods and cool periods. We are now at the tippy tip of a hot period and heading for cooling over the range of 500 years.

This is all shown by the greenland ice cores. They trump any news hype you hear about global warming.

yes. as recently as 6000 years ago, the Sahara was lush and green. (scientists surmise that it is a periodic change that
happens to the Sahara due to climate change caused by the
precession of the Earth's axis of rotation).

Scientists have also found that there is a huge aquifer presently
beneath the Sahara that's as big as one of the Great Lakes.

Re: Amazing 5,000-year-old skeletons laid on bed of flowers found in Sahara - proving desert was once green and lush
No, it's proof of the Great Separation- tale as old as time, found throughout every culture/holy book- Man once lived in harmony with the animals, and there was so much life-supporting vegetation there was no need to eat meat. But Man did, and because of this, the animals fled from him, the vegetation disappeared and man was forced to learn how to grow these things without help from the animals or spirit guides. Meat is the forbidden fruit- we chose knowledge over peace- hence the argument omnivores like to use, that meat is what gave us our large brains. It's true- but look where that's gotten us. Our 'knowledge' is nothing but ego, and it will be the death of our civilization.

I would not place too much credibility on the alleged antiquity date proposed by this article.

The dating methods are fraudulent and full of uncertainty.

Unless there is some indication related to the Precession Alignment of the Earth to the time of this burial, then there is no method of dating that will allow any certainty.

Even Precession can be disrupted by close approach of a celestial object, or some other anomaly.

And why is the region no longer "moist and green"?
Why is the Middle East now a desiccated, barren area of hot sands and no longer covered in vegetation and great cool cedar forests?
