Pit bulls are not human aggressive
chow chows are, both are animal aggressive.

I have a Chesapeake bay retriever/red nose pit. She is a giant baby and doofus but people cross the street out of her way when we walk.

If you're raising this dog from puppy, you have a better chance. Socialize it- 5-9months is CRUCIAL for socialization.

If this dog is already 2year+ you going to have to do some SERIOUS work, de-sensitization training, agility/flyball, lots of exercise.

I work with dogs. shepherds, Akitas, SHEEPDOGS >.< and chows top the list for human aggressive, even hounds....

the pitbull is actually going to work for you in this mix...pitbulls aim to please- they are excellent dogs for children due to their high pain threshold and will defend an owner till death.

Also..people...I've been bit many times by dogs...the most painful, bloody and stitch-requiring bites come from small dogs, some of which are the most human aggressive:

dachshund, or, wiener dog :p , the chihuahua, Llasa Apso, Jack Russel terrier...terriers in general..little bastards.

It's always how you raise the animal...

Yep..I have a Dobi, a Shepherd and a Mini Dox. The Mini Dox is the meanest one of the 3. He's tried to nip at people from time to time and being he's a hound dog I have to keep him on a leash or a run outside cuz he goes to ground a lot. Plus he's really quick, agile and amazingly strong for his size, even with those tiny legs. Then again I understand Doxis were breed to hunt badgers so I guess being agressive was a good trait when ya had to hunt badgers.
Back on topic...OP, you have to have a lot of time to spend with a dog...especially an aggresive breed.
Dogs who are left home alone for hours at a time get bored and sometimes this boredom can bring out the worst in a dog.
If this is your first dog or you have a lot of little kids or other dogs near you I'd pass on it.
If you want a dog that's smart, loyal, good with kids and other dogs, is easy to train and looks mean get a Doberman.

Please verify you're human:
