I think god wants us to use discretion in the things we do. Too much of anything is bad for you, no matter what it is. If you use things for the right reason, then I don't see the problem. If the bible wanted to make it clear that we shouldn't smoke marijuana or do other things Christians commonly perceive as bad, it would have stated so. That is my opinion anyway.
