“What’s the most gut-wrenching decision you’ve ever had to make?”Obama answered that opposing the war in Iraq was “as tough a decision that I’ve had to make, not only because there were political consequences but also because Saddam Hussein was a bad person and there was no doubt he meant America ill.” But Obama was a state senator in Illinois when Congress authorized the president to use force in Iraq. He didn’t have to make a decision on the war. That fact was a recurring issue in the Democratic primaries, when candidates Hillary Clinton, Joseph Biden, Christopher Dodd, and John Edwards argued that they, as senators, had to make a choice Obama didn’t have to make. And now he says it’s his toughest call.
“When did you go against party loyalty and maybe even against your own best interest for the good of America.”
“Well, I’ll give you an example that in fact I worked with John McCain on,” Obama said, “and that was the issue of campaign ethics reform and finance reform.” But it turned out that was an issue on which Obama had briefly allied with McCain and then jumped back to the Democratic mother ship, causing McCain to write Obama an angry note about the abandonment of what had been a principled position.

Your logic is not the same as mine. Whether he had to vote to support it or not is not the point: he said that he opposed the war and he did, in whatever way he chose. That is the truth.
Obama is still a liar, but McCain makes him look like Cinderella in comparison.
And of course, you, PNACGuy, love wars started on lies like in Iraq. Hussein was not predictable so had to removed so that the price of gas could go from a dollar thirty a gallon to 4 dollars. Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11 and Bush and Cheney are up to their eyeballs in it.
So only a man with some intelligence would oppose the Iraq war.

They lied about Iraq, they lied about 911, they lied about using depleated Uranium, they lied about the number of casualties in the war, the lied about global warming, they lied abou the economy, the lied about medicare, they lied about social security, they lied to Colin Powell, they lied about Georgia...the Republican party could not exist without lies..

The United States has averaged 1.3 to 1.5 million abortions/year over the past 20 years.
The reason women want to have abortions is because its inconvenient to have a child.

2. Having a baby would hurt their standard of living.
From 1973 through 1997 more than 35 million unborn babies have been aborted in the United States and if you take the average from those years and apply it to the decade since 1997 you come up with 15 million more babies. 50 Million more Americans in the US.
