Skyforger

One of my personal favorite modern Latvian Pagan Heavy Metal Bands

Here Skyforger sings a traditonal Latvian Warrior songs dating back 12th Century.

If these guys remind of Vikings. Well we were ;)

We are People of Peace seek peace in all things. But we've in our history have often (to often had to deal with invasion and war, saddly to often by the Russians.)

When push comes to shove. We Fight and when we do we usually fight to very last man giving it 200%.

Some of our Heros from the Last Time We fought the Russians

Watch movie about Baltic - Latvian Forest Brothers.( Meža brāļi)

Partisan song- "Bunker".

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are all related we came a single tribe in 4,000 BC and we consider ourselves a single Family of Sorts. Sisters and Brothers To this day.

I know Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Poles. If Russia tries anything anything this time in 2008. Your going to witness the biggest battle in history. Because if Russia crosses the boarder it will be a fight for our very Existence as Peoples and Cultures.

An I don't fear the Russian Army. Their technology there forces are 20-30 years old in most cases.

I morn for their Mothers, Daughters, Sisters and Wives because their men will not be coming home. All because of their Government. Not understanding. WE DON'T WANT THEM ON OUR SOIL! AN WE WON'T BE APART OF THEIR EMPIRE.

Unlike World War II.. Many of Republics from Ukraine (the second largest army in Europe compared to Russians,) In an Arc around Russia into the Baltic The FRONT Will be coming at them from all sides. With one thing on their minds. Revenge. Revenge for 60 plus years of being occupied by the Russians. It will be a blood bath for Russia. An in a War of Revenge there is no mercy!

I pray it doesn't come to that. I pray that there are those in Russia that see what danger Russia is in and they Remove Tsar Putin from the seat of power before its to late.... Not only for Russia but Europe itself and the entire world.

Poland has been in the news a lot lately for different reasons but they are the UK closest ally in Europe.

If Poland are really threatened the UK will not stand by with Russian aggression.

Russia for the last 10 months has been flying bombers to the tip of Norway and Scotland.

Lets see what they make of it when we blow them out of the sky.

We might be a small island but we aint Georgia.

Go for it Rusiia.

"Lativans along Estonia and Lithuiana is one of the Oldest Cultures in Europe. We were also the last Pagans of Europe only converted to Christianity in 1638 none the less we strongly identify with our Pagan heritage.

One of the traditions in Lativa (well a near obession is Singing) We have songs dating back to 4,000 BC in some cases passed down generations. Its women in our culture that memorize these songs from childhood and pass them down the generations
."

Stop that dysentery of lies. How can you be one of the oldest cultures in Europe considering you came to Europe in 13th century - together with Lithuanians you were dragged to your nowadays area by Tartars and settled there by them, too. Only Gypsies came later to Europe, than Latvians.

I apologize. I just reproduced, what I have been told in Vilnius last year by local people. Greetings to Alfonzas Kudirka, he does not know his nation's history.

The Normans (North Men, Norse) of Britan Yep exactly. The Viking made it Vineland (North America) and as Far East Turkey, As far South as the South Africa.

The Vikings were nations Like Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden and yes even the Baltic Estonians and Lativan. Believe it or not the Ukraines and Belrus are Viking too. (Colonized by the Vikings (tribe Vargaians) beginning in 1100s ad) Ukrainians are still the toughest fighters in the Europe.

It was a Beautiful time back then. :)

PRESS ALERT: ESTONIAN SONG FESTIVAL TONIGHT - ESTONIANS ARE SINGING FOR GEORGIA Print

PRESS ALERT

ESTONIA CELEBRATES 20 YEARS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF ITS SINGING REVOLUTION – AND THIS YEAR, ESTONIANS ARE SINGING FOR GEORGIA

Tonight, at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, thousands of Estonians will come together and participate in the "Märkamisaeg" ("Time to Notice") Nocturnal Song Festival.

The event is the high point of the 90th anniversary celebrations of the Republic of Estonia. The theme of the festival is "exile, resistance and restoration of independence". It commemorates the spontaneous events that took place on a massive scale 20 years ago, popularly known as "Ärkamisaeg" ("Awakening"), which grew into the Singing Revolution and the subsequent restoration of Estonia's independence in August 1991.

More than 140 choirs, totalling over 3000 singers, as well as numerous Estonian musicians and pop stars, will be joined by tens of thousands of spectators for the 6-hour-long festivities. The programme will range from popular national songs, ballads written during the fight for independence, and modern compositions by young Estonian composers.

At midnight, the President of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, will deliver a speech in which he will draw parallels between Estonia in 1988 and Georgia today. To sing the festival to a close, at around 01:30 a.m., the popular Georgian group "Chveneburebi" (the name roughly translates as "Ours") will appear on stage.

"Chveneburebi" is currently in Estonia at the invitation of the Georgian Embassy in Estonia.

The Nocturnal Song Festival will start at 8 p.m. (CET) and last until 2 a.m. (CET). It will be broadcast by the Estonian Public Broadcaster (ETV) and by Vikerraadio. A live internet broadcast will be accessible on [link to www.etv.ee]

ONLY TYPICAL WAY THE US CREATE CHAOS USING FEW CORRUPS INSTALLED POLITICIANS IN OTHER COUNTRIES.

The US is trying to destabilize once again for their own interest, who cares if this could bring more deaths and wars around ... Georgia is a proxy as are most other ex soviet states, US using them to destabilize both the EU and Russia.

I dont like what the EU is becoming right now i see it as an evil empire raising...so GO AHEAD USA we need a cleansing here.

Ivan I'm not going answer your jab and start a fight.

As I said we have nothing against your people and your culture.

Russians do have a beautiful and rich hertiage and culture.

I personally wish we had been friends with your people. BUT

Lenin, Stalin and now Putin make that impossible.

Your choice of governments made us enemies where we could have been friends.
