Rice: Russia May Be Attempting to Rebuild Soviet Union

by Hana Levi Julian

(IsraelNN.com) Russia appears to be attempting to re-establish another Soviet Union, according to US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and America intends to nip the effort in the bud.

In remarks to journalists during her flight to Brussels for a meeting of the NATO Council, Rice noted Russia’s reluctance to fulfill its end of a ceasefire agreement negotiated by French President Nicolas Sarkozy a week ago.

Russian forces remained in Georgia Tuesday morning, despite another promise by Russian President Dimitry Medvedev to fulfill his end of the ceasefire agreement negotiated last week by French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

According to a Reuters reporter stationed near the Georgia-Russia border, no Russian tanks or armored personnel carriers (APCs) left the country they invaded 12 days ago through the only military crossing point back into Russia overnight.
Russia can't have it both ways.

The ceasefire agreement allows the Kremlin to leave a token “peacekeeping” force in the Georgian breakaway regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, both of which are populated primarily by ethnic Russians and which have been fighting Georgian control.

A letter by Sarkozy written to Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili clarifying the terms of the ceasefire agreement signed by Russian President Dimitry Medvedev did not change matters, which Rice said would be discussed at the NATO meeting.

“I think the French will undoubtedly be seeking from the Russians an explanation for why the Russian President either won’t or can’t keep his word. That letter is absolutely clear about what the terms of this are. The French, as I understand it, shared the contents of this letter with Russia, and so this is a question of why the Russian president isn’t keeping his word,” she said.

"May be"?

Does someone still doubt it? Of course they are!

Putin came from the KGB. He was Andropov's protegé.

I believe it completely. Not just from articles and good perceptions from the elite minds, but also from this clue I read about here in GLP. The game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. It was released in 2001, which means it was probably dreamt up and created in 2000-2001.

The first mission is in Georgia, South Ossetian autonomous region, April 16 2008. To stop Russian rebellions which ultimately wants to reform the old Soviet Empire.

Compare that to real life. The US was in a 'training' operation in Georgia up to Aug. 3rd 2008. Putin has been suspected of wanting to revive the old soviet empire as he said it was the biggest mistake the Soviet Empire had ever done. Aug. 8th 2008 the conflict breaks out. It is becoming clear Georgia's insane President Mikheil Saasashkili had devised the original assaults with the US gov.'s help against the peaceful citizens of South Ossetia. This provoked a Russian response, in fact, Russia said it would have not been avoidable at all once the Georgians did what they did. It was a complete overkill to get Russia's attention and it worked. But, the truth is coming out bit-by-bit.

To say the game Ghost Recon is a coincidence is beyond such. It is an obvious tool of brain washing young kids at the time to desire and train for combat. Specifically training them subconsciously in South Ossetia. And they were being trained to sneak in, do thier mission and sneak out. Any one 1 and up who played that game would be at least 18+ right now, the perfect age.

Look it up, its as real as it gets

Ghost Recon begins in April 2008, with civil unrest in Russia. Ultra-nationalists have seized power in Russia, with plans to rebuild the Soviet Union. Their first step is clandestine support of rebel factions in Georgia and the Baltic States. This is where the Ghosts come in: to silence the invasion. Armed with some of the most advanced weaponry in the world, the soldiers of the Ghost Recon force are covertly inserted into area of operations and given specific missions to curtail the rebel actions and overthrow their benefactors.

Re: >>>Russia May Be Attempting to Rebuild Soviet Union<<<
I wonder if this was a big, sneaky, commie chess move. Make the US think communism is over and lure the US into a trap.

Russia had also altered its economy to be 100% internal. If every source of oil outside the Russian Empire were to be destroyed or dry up, Russia would be the only superpower left. What if Russia did a first strike on all external oil facilities and then set up a 100% border defensive project to take the backlash, using MAD as a deterrence to the West's potential aggression, if any. The US is a paper tiger, especially now tied up in Iraq.

Could terrorism be a proxy to Soviet plans? What if muslim suicide bombers are Soviet brainwashed. Afghanistan isn't far from Russia. Russia could have used the Afghan war as a cover for their agents in Afghanistan so the west would not detect their presence of true operation there.

They are winning the geo-political war through sneaky subversion. Someone here said, the US can only plan as far as 4-8 years, each administration. But communism can plan for how ever long it needed to.

Keep in mind the KGB is large enough to make sure the old Soviet Empire will come back with its plans to defeat the west. Playing dead, the Soviets may have done.

If all this is true, we all know the US will punch back, and punch back as hard as America can. No dying man tries only 50% to retaliate his killer moments before death.

Is there anybody else on this forum with a brain ?

What is currently going on in Georgia is a Russian General is ignoring orders from Moscow.

Moscow keeps publicly ordering him to withdraw and he keeps moving further into Georgia...It also looks like the invasion was his idea in the first place.

Thats why NATO is at odds over what to do,

1.Russia won't admit publicly what is happening because it would destroy the political future of the current ruling party and cause a dangerous instability in east Europe.
(oops, we lost control of one of our armies...please dont hold that against us in the next election)

2. The General behind this will almost certainly be punished (privately) for this when he withdraws ...so he's not going to be in a big hurry to end this.

So what exactly do you do about this?

America thinks that if we put a lot of pressure on Moscow they will find some way to bring their army back under control

Europe is hoping America will do this by herself so they don't have to damage their relationship with Russia (Who they depend on for Natural gas and oil)

America had something similar happen when General MacArthur ignored President Truman and invaded China against orders...even though the USA didn't want a war with China we wound up fighting it anyway because of one rogue General.

Its a big ole heapin mess right now.
