It's not like the Mythbusters are going to convince the Moon Hoax religion.
Because that's what the Moon Hoaxers have -- a religion. Trying to convince a Moan Hoax believer through common sense and logic is like trying to convince someone who believes in the literal-ness of the Bible that Noah really didn't get all those critters on an ark or that the Earth isn't really only 6000 years old.
These people believe what they believe -- whether the Moon-landing-was-a-hoax religion or the God-created-the-world-6000-years-ago religion -- because they have a psychological need to do so, and nothing will change that. It doesn't matter who debunks a religious issue like the moon hoax or "chem-trails". True Believers are not the kind of people who sill listen to reason; if they were, they wouldn't be True Believers.
The Moon hoax religionists will immediately disagree with the MythBusters, just like the "troofer" religionists disagreed with the Popular Mechanix debunk.
Some people are amenable to logic and evidence; other simply are not. July 10, 2002 - July 10, 2008

This is a perfect example of what I've been saying for years...those who deny Apollo are precisely those who know the absolute least about it.
Tell us...what did the entire Saturn V stack weigh at liftoff from the earth? What did the lone ascent stage of the LM weigh in 1/6th gravity on the moon?
Please do just a little research before showing your profound ignorance for all to see. |

From a 2005 Smithsonian article discussing a new handheld museum guide:
[ link to www.smithsonianmag.com]
Every object in every museum at the Smithsonian is full of such stories. The SIguide is just one new and exciting tool for sharing them with visitors. When James Smithson made his bequest to found the Institution, a place he envisioned as an "establishment for the increase and diffusion of knowledge," he could not have foreseen how rapidly technology in museums would develop—from multimedia exhibitions to cutting-edge Web sites to the astonishing little SIguides, each of which has thousands of times more memory than the computer aboard Apollo 11—but is only about 1/250th of its size. Then again, forward-thinking scientist that he was, maybe he imagined it all.
My watch probably has more memory than the 1969 Apollo 11 computers. Considering the computing power available at the time, I think it's impossible to have landed a man on the moon, based on this fact alone. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 458657
The Apollo craft had all the computing power that they needed. Heavy calculations were done on the ground with the huge computers at mission control and sometimes with sliderules. The relevant results were transmitted up to Apollo and inputted into the guidance computer. It had enough computing power to do exactly what it needed to do. The earlier Mercury capsules had no computers at all. Were they fake too? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 483120 8/27/2008 10:01 PM | | Re: Myth Busters is doing a show on the Moon Landing. | Quote | Moon Landing is clearly fake.
Think about it, the States was in a race with Russia to be the first to the moon. Whoever got their first would be considered "the best nation" for some fucked up reason. (probably because people are sheep and whatever the government/nasa says happened, MUST'VE HAPPENED!)
The US knew it wasn't possible then to go to the moon so they did the best they could, and staged it. The sad thing is they did it well enough to fool millions, if not billions of people into believing that they actually went.
Seriously now, if we had been to the moon, I am 1000% sure the United States of World Government would of tried to go back and build some type of missile defense system on the moon or whatever else.
WAKE UP PEOPLE. STOP BELIEVING THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA.
GOVERNMENTS LIE TO YOU EVERY DAY - WHY WOULD IT BE _ANY_ DIFFERENT WHEN IT COMES TO NASA/NASI?
Thats what I thought. |

what they weighed had only a little to do with it, common sense would have us ask why it was so easy to get back when it took so much to get there |
