In ancient rome a master had to feed his slave and give him shelter for free. In todays times we are below slaves because we have to pay for our own food and shelter. Also the media dumbs down 90% of people.

People in the US today are no longer co-erced to adopt a particular view, they have the choice to be informed or ignorant as they choose - and they choose to be ignorant mostly.

you could compare that to the life of the average Moslem peasant - No freedom of religion, and grinding poverty brainwashed from birth - death if you leave, 70 - 50% illiteracy rates, most of those that can read - have never read a novel, the only media they ever see is controlled and censored firstly be their gov secondly by Islam.

Even this however is a vast improvement from the lives of the average peasant throughout the world in times past.
