What does it tell us about the people that wrote them, what does it tell us about their social, political class and how they see the world?

Sir, your leading article ("Morality, money and tax" June 2) makes the assertion that there is no moral case for a resident of this country to be forced to pay wildly more than his neighbour for identical state services. A tiny minority of just over 300 000 people are being compelled by law individually to contribute far more to the nations economy than the cost of the benefits they stand to receive. Is this a fair tax?

This redistribution of wealth may have political traction, and assuage the envy of the mob, but to confuse Marxism with morality is simply perverse.

The hypocritical cant about the government's obligation to make us all behave morally is both otiose and offensive. The government was not voted in by us to improve our morals, but to manage the country. Its brief is to bring laws into force and to ensure laws are adhered to.

What does that letter tell you about he and his clique see us?

Sir, Politicians and journalists are too quick to refer to tax avoidance as "perfectly legal". At best the legality of many of these schemes is "untested". Indeed success often depends on a lack of of challenge by an underfunded and incompetent KM Revenue & Customs. If a scheme is shown to be legal, it would be closed down in legislation.
Schemes are assumed to be legal if they are blessed by tax counsel. But often this blessing is little more than "In my opinion this scheme has a reasonable/good/better than even chance of success. And the independence of this advice is questionable. Tax advisers are part of the tax avoidance sales team and practitioners often have their "favourites". What sorts the men from the boys is not the technical innovation but the willingness to add the blessing quoted above. Many of the larger practitioners would not touch these schemes with a bargepole. Arguments about moral repugnance are a red herring.

Now considering the above:

1. How many politicians from all three parties feel the same as the first letter?
2. How are we all in this (recession) together if tax avoidance can be practised so freely.
3. Evidence that the government supports tax avoidance can be found in the fact that funding to HMRC has been cut.
4. So it seems that Jonny of the mob pays his taxes, gets lectured about dole and benefits scroungers incessantly, is the mug, because the rich are paying 1%.
5. While Jonny gets no wage rise, pay cuts, increase in local taxes, fined for illegally parking, increases in cost of living, Lord Withering-Bum-Folteroy OBE is doing very well.

We're all in this together? ARE WE FUCK.

Class war? Yes and it's the rich that hate and detest the mob (the people), whereas we are happy sheep that get pulled by the nose wherever our "democratic" system chooses to take us, which is from one shit sandwich to another.

1. Liberte: Freedom. Are we free? Do we as Europeans/Americans have a democratic representative system?

2.Fraternite: Fraternity. A sense of common brotherhood and responsibility for one another, do we have that? If we don't, how is that influencing and manipulating society and us as individuals?

3.Egalite: Equality. Everyman is equal under law, society and God and has equal importance. In other words EVERYONE HAS VALUE. What a great world we would live in if that was the case.

Above in 3 words, THE SOLUTION.

What we are taking about is a [spiritual] revolution.

Just as we can bring hell on earth through starvation, wars etc., so we can bring heaven on Earth by doing the exact opposite.

By doing good deeds, by being generous loving, patient, forbearing, generous to the poor etc.

We can do it, you can do it.

When I started this thread, I stated that I saw it as a journey and that where it would go I was curious to find out.

Writing your thoughts down, does (for me at least) clarify them and they seem to form often just moments before they are typed.

This world can indeed seem a dark and lonely place, where being good is boring, mundane, pedestrian and uninspiring.

But I firmly believe the opposite is true. Since opening my heart magical things have happened, unexplainable, exciting things. Fear is confined and liberation beckons.

Yes the world is going to pieces, all by design, but we are here on this Earth at this time to make a stand for true values that matter, principally love.

To have healthy and embracing love in your heart and mind is just the start, IT MUST BE PUT INTO PRACTICE.

By putting the love of God into practice, by sharing that love in deed to our brothers and sisters we are bringing Gods love down here to Earth, we are creating and becoming one with his desires and wants for us, which in turn brings to us ..................something very very special and powerful.

Don't believe me? Well try it. You who are drinking too much, taking drugs, who are full of anger and hate, you who serve satan through working for government try it, you will be shocked and amazed at what happens.

OK you government worker, policeman, cia, fbi,mi5/6 yes you have a job, a mortgage, responsibilities etc. But that doesn't stop you doing good in your free time. Use that negative energy that anger for good.

I dare you, feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, open your heart to people of all nations.
