Absolutely. From a macro perspective I would give the DOW a 12 month price target of 9800 based on Fibonacci time and price support.
That may very well prove to be an extremely conservative estimate. It is still my belief that a continuing secular contraction in the supply of credit, along with an increased rate of change in the price of tangible asset classes will persist for some time to come. Rebounds which manifest in non-tangible asset classes, while perhaps being rather large and enticing, will ultimately prove to be corrective, and a persistent bear market will continue with the most likely outcome being a total debase of the dollar. I look at these rapid ups and downs.. and think they indicate a crash coming. 1929 looked like this. And the real falls happened in the 30s.
And it will infect the whole world.
In NZ we have had a series of collapses of Finance Companies.. think small banks.. and thousands of people have lost their life savings. ( Losses mostly in RE developments... and we have NO bank insurance here) People are still in shock.. but long term it will have an effect on everything.
