Headline News has had several reports from people regarding the current state of the levees and the fact that they can only continue to work if the rain generated from Gustav is measured in an inch or less for several hours. I suspect we're going to see some severe damage because they're also calling for evacuations shortly. Dayum shame. Friday is their anniversary of Katrina.

Over one million of us evacuated for Katrina.
Over ONE MILLION!

While the city itself if predominantely poor. THE thugs, looters and the poor only make up a small percentage of the entire metropolitan area.

The suburbanites and many in the city itself didn't rely on the government to take care of us.

There are many good people here w/families who own homes and have insurance and do the right thing.

I just wanted to remind people of this.

Per MSNBC weatherheads. Not New Orleans again. Other models show from west Louisiana to Florida. Cat 3 predicted. So much for the bogus theory of Hurricane steering lol Quoting: mathetes Ah yes! The hurricane is helping them to move to a more viable area. Let's face it, New Orleans is below sea level. In our lifetimes it won't exist. Might as well get packing now while you still have suitcases and transportation. Or, garbage bags and the ability to walk out.
