Anonymous Coward User ID: 433558 United States 08/27/2008 02:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just look at vegas, it's full of that shit to draw customers. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 281126No kidding. I live here. I have lived here for four years and everyone that I know that has lived here 2-5 years, is DYING to leave. I would describe the general atmosphere here as Souless. There is no heart. There's nice people, but there is a certain emptiness. It's hare to put a finger on. I know a lady that said it best, when she lived here and had a sugar daddy. "Las Vegas is a beautiful dream, but it never comes true, and Texas (where she lived) is HOME." It's really for tourists, not a place to live. It's so ungodly hot, so expensive, the place is filthy. The cancer rate here is 7 times the national average and you cant really be healthy. Like I said, there's just something off about it. Everyone agrees but can't put their finger on it. |

Just a bunch of egyptian crap made into a mall. No need to work yourselves up that this is illuminati stuff. oooooooo....illuminati, run hide, don't go to dubai! |
ObeyTheOctopus (OP) User ID: 452708 United States 08/27/2008 03:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That was sick. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 489549Isn't Dubai just an vacation kind of place though? I didn't think there was any real jobs there. The people who live in the skysrapers made their money elsewhere, correct? I believe most of the real estate in Dubai is funded by Asian and Indian businessmen. They're turning it into a vacation spot for the ultra-rich, with prostitution as a key component of that lure. Seems to me like it's becoming some NWO capital city. "Buy the ticket, take the ride." |

Dubai has little oil reserves, (compared to the rest of the Emirates) so tourism is being developed as income. Looking at the symbolism and the precariousness of the buildings being developed right in the water, it looks like a gigantic sacrifice set up to me. With the two towers, the Gate, the Sun God/Egyptian symbolism. Certainly not somewhere I would particularly like to visit. |

It's being built for the Anunnaki tourists who will want to visit the zoo when Niburu slides through the next time. All those artificial islands shaped like palm trees that you can see from space? What else would you go to all that trouble and expense for? |

It's amazing and there's nowhere else I would want to live. This is just a coincidence! Why is everyone so paranoid?! Oh and people DO have proper jobs in Dubai, for your information. :) It's an amazing place, just stop trashing it! |
<3 Dubai User ID: 1536639 United Arab Emirates 09/05/2011 07:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 1- Dubai is full of life, and soul and isnt really empty, one just need to know where to go. Yes, most of the things are constructed to attract tourists, but every place in the world has that, we just built an entire city based on it from NOTHING. 2- For all those of you who think that prostitution is a big thing here, please think again and look at where you are living, every place has prostitution, just because theres illegal activity here doesnt make it a bad place, its just those sneeky hos know how to avoid the cops. 3- The so called mall everyone is freaking out about is Wafi, and its based on the pyramids of Egypt. The exact thing all of you are freaking out about is The Raffles hotel, which I believe is not Arab owned, and the foreigners had to comply with the rest of the decor of the mall, so really not our problem if people want to view a pyramid top with no real EYE in the center as an illuminati symbol. 4- Even though the cancer rate may be high, everyones got problems.. if everyone seems to forget obesity in the united states, and the acid rain and cancerous fumes over london. every.single.place. has its faults. 5- For the one who said Dubai is only for tourists and all the money is made from people not residing here, i would strongly disagree with that. Yes, there are many foreign millionaires, billionaires, the sort.. but there are wealthy national and middle easters residing in this Emirate. I hope no one takes what i said and begins to bash me, because I have not made any rude or vulgar remarks, just facts from a person who has lived in this beautiful city his entire life, and would like to stand up for it, just like every other person would for his own. Give it a chance, don't ask for popular tourist attractions, go on a Dhow (arab ship) trip run by proper locals, go to local restaurants, don't go where the hype is.. you can get Armani cafe anywhere, why waste your time and money coming to Dubai or any other country if your not going to gain an experience you cannot get elswhere. Thanks to all of whom have read this and haven't made any negative comments. I hope you all give Dubai a real chance. And God bless. |

I completely agree with u...well said... my father is from Dubai and my mother is from the states and we go there every year to visit our family and as much as i love the states, dubai is definately the place to live in...and no countrys government takes care of their people like Dubai so any people who want to complain and talk crap obviously dont know what they're talking about... visit the place then talk |
