This is a new generation of Viruses. If you see these pop up on your screen, Press the ALT and the F4 Keys at the same time to close them. Any other way used to close the pop up’s will shut down your antivirus protection and allows the programs to install viruses on your computer. These are some of the worst and hardest viruses to clean. They will stop your computer from functioning properly.
These Virus/Trojans are very difficult to remove. If you continue to get these pop ups after closing the screen, you are already infected. Turn your computer off immediately and call me. If you leave your computer on after being infected, you risk the possibility of infecting our server and other computers logged onto the network.
ALSO: If you get an email like the one below, Do not click on anything. Delete it. It is not from MSN or Microsoft. It will install the XP, Vista Virus on your computer. It takes close to 1.5 hours to clean this off the computer. In some cases, it cannot be cleaned and we would have to format the computer and reinstall everything from scratch.
If you click on these emails like this, They will shut down the antivirus protection so that the virus can install.
Free Update Windows XP,Vista

It kept launching +dware and would keep reloading itself no matter how many times you cleaned it out. I said fuck it and restored the backup image to the drive. Problem solved. Just wished I had backed his system up more recently. Had to reinstall some aps and wait on Windows Update to reload some of the more recent updates. I think fuckers that put this crap out there need to be criminally prosecuted and raped up the ass for 30 years in prison. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 465422 8/27/2008 11:56 PM | | Re: NEW COMPUTER VIRUS | Quote | I managed to get something like this today, a popup appeared saying "you are infected... download antivirus 2009" or something like that.
It changed my desktop picture to that popup aswell and disabled the option to change it back, then it tried connecting online, probably to download more viruses but luckily i was able to block it and find the file in system32 folder.
After i got rid of the file and enabled my desktop options with regedit i realised the virus had also hijacked my internet browser aswell, it would take forever to load a page and then redirect me to a search engine, it also blocked me from entering many known anti virus sites.
6 hours wasted to finally get rid of it all, i had to use another computer to download kittensbytes anti-kittens program, that stops the browser from being hijacked.
If you have this virus with no access to a second computer, you ae fucked, only a full wipe and reinstall will work. This program should get rid of it...

Yes cuss all the fuck you want here, but don't post +ahdweare+, +sphyware+, or +tavistocck+. It gets word censored, one of the reasons I cancelled my sub here. BTW: You're lucky the +ahddware you got didn't "deep 6" itself into your registry. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 492404 8/28/2008 12:19 AM | | Re: NEW COMPUTER VIRUS | Quote | I got this two days ago, clicked on a result of a google search, it was a forum, didn't even get a look at the page. My wallpaper changed and an installation thing popped up and so did a lot of firewall permission things.
So I did a google search and saw it was bad, but the rebel I am I installed it anyway, after installing it looks like a legit antivirus, anitflowers software, but it's annoying as an ingrown toe nail, pop up warnings all over the place.
The research I did pointed me in the direction of "kittensbytes" I installed that, ran it, but it didn't pick up on any "antivirus xp" files, so I hit ctrl alt delete and found the process in there and shut it down, it looked something like bdofidsf.exe, which it did then I ran "kittensbytes" and it picked it up, I removed the files and restarted and so far so good, ever things all good.
Most of the problems I saw was when people got infected with this "Anitvirus XP" they didn't deal with it straight away and shut down their computers, after restarting it seemed to do strange things, like only starting in safe mode or only loading to a black screen. |

It's not even a popup, it's a website made to LOOK like a popup. Multiple web pages all designed to look like a system scan and related.
It's a scam, and it's designed to fool the incredibly gullible, like GLPs average user.
