I know its hard to understand with a mind full of hops and bong resin, but you have to understand what it means to travel in space. It is nothing like how we travel on a plane. When you do not have to combat gravity a lot of your gravity based equations have no relevance. Without gravity your travel is greatly changed. |

How much oxygen did they have on that little ship? (Scuba-ish tanks enough for a week plus) Amazing stuff. (Yes) how does your body handle that type of trip and how does your heart pump work going that fast in space for that long?? The wieghtless ness is space is free falling not weightless ness. dicovery channel is a propaganda machine. Moon myth buster anyone? Fine, I will bite at this idiotic post as well, though it seems to be more in typical troll fashion. Q: Howd they survive and how did the ship survive. traveling thousands of miles per hour for three days straight then back at the same speed. A: It is called the miracle of a metal. Also the miracle of structural engineering. The space vessel was DESIGNED to take the stresses. You learn that kind of stuff when you go to the right colleges. Q:The "moon missions" only took three days and three hours one way how fast where they going to get there in three days? any mathmen here. A:Let's say the distance is 238,000 miles, for the sake of the math. Remember, it varies as the moon travels it's path which is not 100% circular. So at that distance, to get there in 3 days, you would need to travel roughly 79333 Miles per day which would equal to about 3,305 MPH. This is about the equivalent to Mach 4, easy for a vacuum. Q:no engine? no fuel? No place to shit? A: The main engine was a solid fuel rocket engine for the initial take off. It used an extreme amount of energy to overcome Earth's gravity well. Once the initial rocket broke past the acceleration of gravity, it relied upon inertia to do the rest. Inertia is a physical property of matter, hence is the Newtonian law that says an object in motion will remain in motion unless acted upon by an outside force due to inertia. They had fuel to take off of the moon, since the gravity is less on the moon than on Earth, they needed less fuel to break free from the gravity well. The return trip was the same way, using inertia to get home. They had a place to take a crap, their space suits were designed for that if I am not mistaken, there was a storage tank built in the vessel to hold waste products. Q: How much oxygen did they have on that little ship? A: More than enough. There is also this technology called a carbon scrubber which cleans up the carbon from the air to recycle as much oxygen as possible. Q: how does your body handle that type of trip and how does your heart pump work going that fast in space for that long?? A: It is called being in shape for starters. It is also letting the body acclimate to the forces being applied to it. Mach 4 is fast but without the gravity well of Earth, the G-Forces on the body wouldn't be too terribly bad, the most G-Forces are applied at take off, to break free from the gravity well. The heart doesn't see any difference pretty much once it has acclimated to the environment. Q: And we dont have a ship on earth thats can fly that far without refueling do we? None Ive heard of. A: We could if it relied on other non-petroleum fuels. But we have the gravity well of Earth to contend with and then there is a physical force known as drag, which is the friction of the air molecules against the exposed surfaces of an aircraft. Inertia on Earth gets drained too quickly due to those forces. We also need to consider that aircraft on Earth have no need to fly that far in one shot as they fly to and from destinations with cargo and passengers. Q:Zero Gravity is a lie too. The wieghtless ness is space is free falling not weightless ness. A: Actually, it should be more or less, gravity nullification as opposed to Zero Gravity. Weightlessness in Space is a result of being pulled in many directions at once. Being pulled by the planets closest to you. Sp technically you are correct, it is free falling toward many points at once.Look into the Lagrange points, they are points in space, close to Earth that are between the Sun and between the moon which are exactly nullified gravity spaces, you could say, gravity does not exist in these places because it is canceled out about 100%. BOOK OF ENOCH: Chapter:27 [1]And I commanded that there should be taken from light and darkness, and I said: Be thick, and it became thus, and I spread it out with the light, and it became water, and I spread it out over the darkness, below the light, and then I made firm the waters, that is to say the bottomless, and I made foundation of light around the water, and created seven circles from inside. that is to say the bottomless that is to say the bottomless You never see the Space-Station outside/away from the Earth's atmosphere, always orbiting on it, once out, the bottomless (Free Fall). [link to apod.nasa.gov] The Moon does the same, you'll never see the Moon outside/away from Earth's atmosphere, always on it orbiting around in a circle. |

Quoting: Unibrow 473627Nice try but your using false worldly logic I could not pass this one up hehehe... The diameter of the earth at the equator is 7,926.41 miles, or a circumference of 24901.53. Now take that and / by 24 hours and you get 1037.56 MPH, and Earth's average speed of revolution about the sun is 18.51 miles per second or 67,000 MPH. So you see that they were not going that much faster, so the question should have been how can you eaven do it on the toilet. I think you might have acceleration mixed up with speed. when driving a car if you step on the gas, you get pushed into the seat. but once at speed, no acceleration and no force on you. Tada, there you go. |
