It's clear the Republicans do NOT want to go toe 2 toe with the Democrats for some reason. I myself am a Republican and something just don't feel right. I think it was a party decision to put a lame duck candidate in for this upcoming term, nothing against John but he got picked. Mark my words Obama will be our next president, but I'm thinking he is the fall guy for something bigger that is in the works. Just my opinion. Quoting: dillio1973 490159

The delegates to the Republican Convention need to say "NO" to McCain (and/or Palin). They CAN change their votes. They can find someone else. Although they are "pledged" to vote for McCain, there's nothing to stop them from changing their minds and voting for someone else.

Thank God.
John McCain just made the single worst mistake in his first Presidential decision. He chose a female VP with no experience, no foreign policy, no identity on the world stage, no long history in government, younger than Barack Obama, was a mayor and now a Governor in her 2nd year. Who said this wasn't going to be a cake walk? If John McCain had to go after the Democratic Women's vote- he should have been smart enough to get a woman Hillary's equal. He could have pulled anybody from anywhere... He could have snatched up Kay Bailey Hutchinson from TX... but instead, he grabbed a nobody from Alaska. Come on? It's time to celebrate. Job Well DONE McSame. You have actually pissed off Mitt Romney, lost any chance at Michigan, and gotten votes from disgruntled Dems that wouldn't have voted for Barack anyway. So in the end, you have accomplished NOTHING. You have shown the failed JUDGEMENT that Barack spoke about last night. LOL, it was a great move for the short term news cycles... but a bitter blow to any chance at the OVAL OFFICE. She can never stand toe to toe with Joe Biden. God, I love this country. Cheers Obama FAMILY! Let's get this party started!!!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 463567

Our world is shifting into an unprecedented time... climate change is upon us. Those who have so selfishly run the current administration have likely been hoarding and preparing to survive waht they may may be seeing as an oncoming a mass die-off. The selfish nature of the administration confused me at first but then I realized that they just see the painting on the wall. There will be more Katrina's, more Indonesian tsunami-like events. Flooding to boggle the mind, droughts that ruin crops and starve. They may be planning to sit it out while Obama does his heart-felt best to manage the oncoming situations. What they may not realize is the strength of the resolve of the American people can quickly be raised up many notches with the right leadership. The elitists will be exposed. I believe we can triumph as a people. |

Are these people even paying attention to whats going on?!?!?! She is probably the best choice that the party could have made. She is more of a reformer and "maverack" than McCain himself. She has an excellent record, the only one of them all with executive leadership experience(Mayor then Governor of a state, the rest are just Senators in Congress)and she is a younger WOMAN. She can bring the GOP back to what it is supposed to be, rather than what it has become under Bush and cronies. And well, lets face it, our other option is Obama/Biben and their socialist state they propose full of tax increases to pay for all the handouts he wants to impliment. I think this ticket could beat Obama better than any other they could have put together. this has actually turned me into a supporter, and I am a die hard Conservative too.

I am a conservative and this is disastrous.
McCain's pick is only one step above picking Elizabeth Hasselbeck from The View. UGH...
She has a 4 month old baby (born 4/18/08). What the HELL is she doing on the road campaigning now for VP of the United States??? Plus, the baby has problems. These aren't family values...she's forsaking her family for power and prestige..
It ruins his argument about Obama having no experience to be Commander-In-Chief. His VP pick doesn't, either.
And what about the terrorist problem? Did that suddenly disappear? He is 72, if he dies, what does she know of fighting terror, foreign policy...etc. This is WHY I wasn't voting for Obama!
He torpedoed his own campaign. |
