Here is the proof.

The "wisdom" cited by the Apostle John is the ancient system of Hebrew gematria or numerology. He was using this as a secret code so that those "in the know" would be able to recognize the beast when it arrived.
I tried to use the Hebrew letters in this posting, but unfortunately, this site is not able to read them and turns them into word salad. So instead I have had to use English transliterations of the letters, as follows:
Sarah
(Hebrew Letters)
Shin, Reysh, Hey
Palin
(Hebrew Letters)
Pey, Aleph, Lamedh, Nun
The Hebrew gematria values of these letters using the standard Mispar gadol system are:
Shin= 300
Reysh= 200
Hey= 5
Pey= 80
Aleph= 1
Lamedh= 30
Nun= 50
TOTAL= 666
I am aware that Sarah Palin's last name has been transliterated differently in the Israeli Press. Apparently in an attempt to get across the flat American "A" sound,they have added a syllable; so the Israeli version would actually be pronounced "Pay-ya-leen". There does not appear to be a word spelled "Pey, Aleph, Lamedh, Nun" in Hebrew, but interestingly, there is in Yiddish, the language of European Jewry that is basically a transliterated form of Middle German. The word is "falin", which is pronounced like "Palin" except that it uses the soft instead of the hard pronunciation of the latter "pey". So I think I am fully justified in transliterating her last name this way. By the way, the Yiddish word means "fall". |
