Quoting: anonymous 493145I already fertilized the lawn beginning of spring... I understand one isn't supposed to fert it too often. Is that correct? Directions usually say 1-2. I live in a moderate climate that lets the lawn live (and grow a bit) through winter. Lately, I've had one of the best looking lawns in my neighborhood, but, I seem to be the only one with the fungus. Unless, the other owners get out earlier than I to remove it. LOL! Thanks for the suggestion, AC! | Geogal (OP) User ID: 373387 08/29/2008 02:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | never had a problem with mold or fungus till i used scotts weed and feed on my yard, it turned nice and green and everything was fine.about a week or 2 later after cutting the grass and collecting the yard waste, i put it in a pile(in a place where it got wet) and a few days later it ws all stinky and moldy fungusy and got fungus all over the place, all over trees ect, i was guessing it was from the ferts... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 432406i killed it with milk, i only had to treat it once and it went away, also i cut back all the trees ect so the sun would cook it/dry it away Hrmm... the mold I've got is actually showing in the lawn that gets the most sun and has the least amount of trees near it. I thought it kinda weird it would show there, in that it gets the best drainage (at a good angle) and stays the driest of all my lawn areas. The lawn that gets the least amount of sun and the most water is ACTUALLY the lawn area that I don't see any mold or fungus on. I have a couple small ponds that I do have algea in. This would be useful for that. Plus, I hate using chemicals on my roses and get the powder mold, and occasional black spots or rust! I usually end up just denuding that plant when the problem occurs. COOL! Love apple cider vinegar great solution along with garlic! Also food grade hydrogen peroxide much much safer than bleach and good for plants ! Wash your veggies with it - cure your herpes and a host of other major illnesses and its also great for gardening ! |

Pricey and may not even be fully conclusive IMHO. Mold and bleach are volatile chemicals mold is a voc and bleach probably has either voc or volatile chemical compound classification. |
