You can follow whomever you wish and worship them to infinity, but it is all lost effort and misunderstood relationship between you and your "master".


NO MASTER BEING/INSTRUCTOR WOULD EVER COMMAND THAT YOU BE LIKE THEM, THINK LIKE THEM, OR FOLLOW THEM. TO DO THOSE THINGS IS TO ATTACH TO THE MASTER INSTEAD OF THE TEACHING. AND YOU DO NOT BECOME A MASTER BY ATTACHING TO THE PERSON, MUCH LESS WHEN YOU EMBARK ON WORSHIPPING THEM.


WORSHIP CONNOTES A QUALITATIVE SEPARATION OR A DIVIDE THAT CANNOT BE BRIDGED - AN ADMISSION THAT YOU CANNOT BE AS THE MASTER - THAT YOU ARE LESS THAN THE MASTER - AND MOREOVER, THAT THROUGH WORSHIP, YOU EARN SOME SORT OF FAVOR BY SUCKING UP TO THE MASTER.


NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM REALITY.


So you can continue praise and worship if that makes you feel connected and fuzzy inside, but it will get you nowhere. It will keep you at arms length from your inner master beingness that we are all heir to.


You may also choOse to deny your mastership if that placates the false humility you must demonstrate to show your subservience - again - as a false dynamic that you believe accrues to you in the afterlife - but it is all your own delusion - a self-fulfilling, self-serving delusion.



If Jesus had lived, he would echo what is stated here.

And so it behooves each one of us to ask ourselves if we are following a teaching that unlocks our own mastery, or indemnifies our sense of unworthiness.


Are we worthless sinners with no hope of redemption without the grace and beneficence of our esteemed "master"?

Or are we chips off the old block, worthy and capable within our own rights to become all that we were designed to be?


We make this choice every day, in each and every thought, word, and action.


One way leads to slavery and self-denial.


One way leads to freedom and self-realization.
