By the way, as has been pointed out, Palin backed abstinence-only education during her 2006 gubernatorial race. In an Eagle Forum Alaska questionnaire, Palin gave this response to the following question:
Will you support funding for abstinence-until-marriage education instead of for explicit sex-education programs, school-based clinics, and the distribution of contraceptives in schools?
Palin: Yes, the explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support.

and maybe she would left them in her other purse, or maybe the condom would have broken, and maybe I don't want my tax dollars buying condoms and sending the message to kid that it's okay to have uncommitted sex.
Let the parents buy their kids condoms if they so choose.
Or, let the kid figure out that if they can't afford to buy a condom, they sure a hell shouldn't be having sex. |

Her position is that no sex education should be taught in schools, that should be left to the parent. However, IF public funds are to be used for public sex education, THEN abstinence only is the sensible course. Which makes much more sense to me than sending mixed messages to the kids.
Obama is pushing for "fuck all you want and we'll scrape out any accidents". |
