145 mph aint shit
i was ina Typhoon during the early 90's when i lived with my folks in Okinawa. I think it was super Typhoon Flo. 175MPH avg..gust to 205 MPH
damage wasnt that bad, nor is it ever in Japan..they build there stuff to last..unlike us dumb americans who insist on using wood for homes instead of concreat Quoting: Anonymous Coward 464327
I got hit by a few super typhoons over there myself while in the service, and you are 100% right, most of their stuff is built of concrete and able to withstand the winds besides trees blowing down. So for us it was hurricane parties ftw. |

Kevin - we will see the 5pm AST advisory soon.
The UK MET model shows a beeline to Miami.

Perhaps the water on this course has been less churned up by Hanna than further South.
Who knows - we shall see.
Keep in mind Andrew intensified very rapidly. Other question then is how churned up is the water say from Miami to 300 miles East?? |
