"They" estimated it from satellite on Ike etc. Wilma was actual RECON. Therefore I don't find one shred of evidence to say these were exact numbers for Ike to compare to Wilma.

Perhaps the water on this course has been less churned up by Hanna than further South.

Who knows - we shall see.

Keep in mind Andrew intensified very rapidly. Other question then is how churned up is the water say from Miami to 300 miles East??
