SPORTS: Culpepper retires after nine NFL seasons
Quote

MIAMI (AP) - Daunte Culpepper, who starred for the Minnesota Vikings before a major knee injury in 2005 curtailed his career, retired from the NFL on Thursday.
Culpepper completed 64 percent of his passes in a nine-year career, with 142 touchdowns. He tried to resuscitate his career with the Miami Dolphins in 2006 and the Oakland Raiders last season, struggling in both of those stops, and wasn't in training camp with any teams this year. The way thing are going for MN, he could be back in a Vikings uniform & in a starting QB role before Halloween.

Re: SPORTS: Culpepper retires after nine NFL seasonsQuote

He was terrible under pressure... Anytime things were desperate, he would just crumble and make poor choices.

And yes, Moss made Culpepper because there was nothing to these passes...he would just bomb it and Randy was the fastest player on the field and just simply outrun them.

The 97 season was pretty amazing and like all the other times that the Vikings get to the playoffs...they blow it in dramatic fashion.

Sad
