I've been thrown out before also. Luckily you're healthy enough to be able to go to work, look for a cheap apartment, and pay for your bills. Trust me, I know from experience, it could be alot worse.

I have sympathy for both sides in this. And have been on both sides of it myself. My dad threw me out when I was 15.

Since both dope and porn can destroy people in the modern world, I tend to side with the parents on that. Someone here even already suggested turning it around on her by telling the cops that it is her bong. Boom, in come the cops. They find the porn on the computer, maybe some kiddie porn, and out goes dad. Maybe lose the house, jobs, the whole shebang. My son was dealing drugs out of our house and purveying cigarettes to the neighborhood minors. I explained to him that we could lose everything if he didn't knock it off. He kept it up. I threw him out. He survived. Learned a lot. Came back. F'ed up again and got thrown out again. He got his act together on his own, got over hating me, and now everything is cool.

But your step-mother sounds like a real catch there. I've seen the type. Chain'smokin', tv watching domestic tyrant. Yecch! No matter how hard you try, it will never be good enough. She will always move the cheese.

If you are going to try to go back, you probably have to lay low on the pot and porn for a while. Ain't that hard. It won't hurt you. You might be surprised how much you can accomplish without them. If you are stoned on pot from dawn to dusk, anyhow you have a problem, and you need to dump it for a while and get your head cleared up.

When my boys got into porn, I did not go crazy; I just pointed out to them that they would not find any porn hidden around the house or in my browser history. I just don't need the stuff. My feeling is that porn causes one to view the other sex as basically a collection of parts, and that is not a useful approach to having real women in your life in a meaningful way. That is what I told them. I walked into the family room one time and my son was openly masturbating on the couch. I didn't go crazy, I just told him to only do that in private. I asked him how he would feel if his mother or sister walked in on him. He got the message.

She can't legally kick you out. If you wanted to you could call police and tell them or you could talk to a councelor at the school, or some kind of goverment agency that helps children. They do have to get a court order to kick you out and give you 30 days. Tell your Dad you just want a month or two to get a job or even better to let you finish high school and if he still wants you out you'll go then. There is an agency here called boys and girls club of America(I think) that helps kids in your situation. While your on internet search for agencies that help teen runaways. They will probably help you. There is help out there. You just have to look for it. Give up the porn and drugs. Start thinking about the future. Make something of yourself. That would be the best revenge you could have.

Hey Guys, OP...

2 weeks before my 18th birthday my dad moved out and told me I had till the end of the month to find a place...

Never been back since. And even though I look back on the situation and know it was for my own good, it still hurt at the time. He didn't leave me high and dry like your dad did though.

I have a couple suggestions. First, call the cops and tell them she hit you multiple times. This will force them to come out and take a statement. Since they probably didn't keep your pot, or bong, it won't matter if she rats you out. She will probably be so angry that she will admit to the cops she hit you. Instant ticket to jail now a days...

You may want to wait till night time when you know she is drunk, that will help your case big time when the cops show up and find a belligerent drunk chick running her mouth.

Once they take her away, talk to your dad. Tell him you will get a job, quit smoking dope and anything else you know you did but didn't mention here. You can use the charges as leverage. Tell him you will drop the charges if you can stay there till the end of school, or you have a decent job.

And just for the record, I am a high school drop out. It makes life very difficult when you get older if you plan on making a decent living. So you probably do not want to quit school. I quit at 14, and regret it to this day, just took a few years...

so negotiate for time till school is out and you can get a job. Agree to pay some rent if you must. Then start saving some cash so you are not in this position again.
