BEWARE!!!!! this is a trick to fuck up your digestive system this method will create all the problems op is trying to solve Wow, a teaspoon of 1/2 each baking soda and maple syrup has your entire digestive tract on fire. Interesting if true. must be a very unhealthy idividual to have that sort of effect. i have never been bothered by it nor anyone in my family. this person needs to get his/her health in order. | Anonymous Coward User ID: 678708 05/14/2009 12:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is indeed interesting. I have used baking soda for many years to stop neartburn. No matter how intense the heartburn, a third teaspoon of baking soda in a third glass of water (small glass) instantly cures the heartburn. Since I don't always get heartburn, I only use when necessary. There is no doubt in my mind that if taken regularly (daily), no heartburn or indigestion would occur at all. I never realized, however, that there were so many other remedies using baking soda. It is very much within the realm of possibility that maple syrup (abundant here in Maine)--the very lifeblood of the majestic Maple tree--could have therapeutic properties combined with baking soda. Makes sense to me. |

Dip your feet in Apple cider vinegar and wait 3 minutes, then start too clip off the infected nails while its still diped in the ACV, then take some baking soda and pour it in and watch the fizzzz, then rub your toe nails after the fizz has stopped so you can make sure the baking soda penetrates every nook and cranny. wait for 5 minutes (or longer) take feet out and dry, you can also then wash your feet with regular soap to get rid of the ACV smell. Do this for 5 days and the following week your toe nails will begin to grow back to normal. ![]() To prevent fungus again, you need to clean your bath tub or shower with bleach so it will kill the fungus and mildew. | whisprgently User ID: 491713 05/15/2009 01:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm currently trying the baking soda/maple syrup. I've cooked it the recommended time, but can't ingest it right away since it's too hot. I find its like making taffy (tire de la Ste Catherine). The taste when its cooled just a bit, is horrid, lol, so what I've done since I can't ingest it hot and the taste is so yucky and sticky too, I've transferred it onto a plastic bag and cooled it down in the freezer for about two or three minutes and then I rolled it to make a pill like form and then drink it down with water. Not sure if this will take away from the effectiveness of it all? That's the best way I've found in taking it. |

I cooked it for the five minutes as it boiled and foamed. Let it cool, but the maple syrup and baking soda separated, leaving the bicarbonate on the bottom of the jar. I shake it up, but it isn't thoroughly mixed. Still, I figure it's better than nothing? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 498460. Ok here's what you do... Get a wooden paddle, and an old butter churn, then take 14 pounds of hog fat and put it in a gunny sack. Then start hitting your self on the head with it, until the lights come on, and then reheat the mixture on low heat for 5 minutes. It worked for me! |

| Goddess Gets Empowered User ID: 793648 10/14/2009 02:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So just for kicks I am going to try this ol' remedy. If anyone wants to join me on the journey, or offer advice, I would love it. Thanks in advance. So, for starters, I have had psoriasis on my body for about six years. I have tried lots of natural remedies, and some have worked better than others, though there are still some patches. My scalp is nearly cleared, yet cracks behind the ears still annoy. So when cracks developed between my toes, I first exclaimed that I must have a new breakout of the P. After my roommate announced that he had a foot fungus and described it to me, I knew immediately that I had the same thing. It itches more than the P, kind of like the ears but more intense. I also have a small crack between the larger labia (yeah, ouch). So, I think there may just be a connection between P and fungal infections so I am going to fight the fungal and win! If you have any suggestions to add, please inform me. I will give it a go so long as it's natural and affordable. I am currently treating with Pau d'arco tea 1xday orally, Nutibiotic Defense Plus pills, Colloidal Silver 1x day orally, digestive enzymes and probiotics orally. As well, I just swallowed, hesitantly, the prescribed baking soda and maple syrup mixture. Wow, that is a medicinal taste! I soak my feet in bleach water with tea tree and vinegar 2x day and put DMSO and tea trea on it after soaking, allowing the feet to dry thoroughly before socking them. As well, my diet is nearly pure: quinoa, veggies, olive oil, ginger, garlic, Bragg's aminos. Buckwheat, raw fruits and veggies. I want to follow the Body Ecology Diet; soon! So, that's the program. Any advice graciously taken. Off i go! |

Does anyone know if this would be safe to give to my dog~~she gets urinary tract infections It would be wonderful because the meds are not helping and cost $78 a treatment or more!! Thanks ahead of time for giving me any answers that are nice..lol |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 806456 10/30/2009 12:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "In order to clear up toenail fungus properly one should get themselves a tub of Virgin Coconut Oil along with some 40,000+ heat unit Cayenne Pepper powder. Warm some water for a food bath but make sure it isn't hot or else the cayenne will burn the tops of the feet. Place in the water 2-4 teaspoons of the Cayenne powder. Soak the feet for 20 minutes and then dry off only. Now smear the feet with Virgin Coconut Oil and leave on. Do this at least once a day or ideally 2-3 times daily. I did this to a patient once a day and I continued it for 2 months as their fungus was very bad since Cancer treatments. At the end of it the fungus has gone and never come back whilst allowing the patient now to wear shoes for long periods of time without discomfort or ache. I made sure I continued the treatment for a longer time to make sure internal foot fungus was removed completely. Internally you could always add the use of Allium sativum and/or Olea europea." -Craig Oxley (UHM) |

I have used the antibiotics for myself, dogs and cats for ten years and have had wonderful results. Just google fish antibiotics and you will find many sources. You can also google the amounts to give your dog depending on weight. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 176293 06/11/2010 07:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My father had cancer, and I recommended this treatment to him. He and my mom agreed to give it a try. After the first 2-3 days he got actually a bit better, then it stabilized. After round about 7 days it seems he lost the control over his bodily functions, and was hospitalized. 5 days after that he was gone. So 2 weeks from start, he died. In the end his condition deteriorated much quicker than expected. We are all happy that in the end he had to spend only 5 days in a hospital, and the end was relatively quick. His life was anyway just a hopeless, painful, battle against the inevitable. However I have a feeling that this stuff messed up his PH-levels so badly, that is caused his death in the end. Maybe under some circumstances, and for some type of cancer it could work, but most likely it speeded up my father's death by a few months. All in all, no regrets, whoever wants to try it -go for it, but also bear in mind that it might be risky as well. |
