Message Subject Red beet cures my anemia

I have low red blood cell count for years. Tried all kinds of iron pills, but they all either have bad side effects (upset stomach, constipation) or do no good or both.
I heard red beets contain lots if iron in easy-to digest natural form (also some powerful antioxidants). I tried to make juice out of raw beets, but it was very heavy for the stomach.
Then remembered eating pickled red beets when I was a child as a side dish for meats. So I went with the easiest way (although was not sure if it works in processed form) and got some canned pickled beets from Del Monte.
I have a good sip of the juice and eat some pieces first thing every morning, and it has an instant effect! My day begins well without the headache, weekness, blurred vision and slow thinking caused by the anemia.

Anyone tried it? I know some people dont like the taste - I have some ideas for seasoning.

Did it actually raise your red blood cell count, if so how much?
