coca cola used to have pure surgar amoung other things. But in the late 60's or early 70's they switched to Corn Syrup. Almost all brands of soda pop did at this time..and most evidence of obesity started to really peak around that time and up until now.
there are other factors of course involved, but HFCS is a big one. Pure sugar is best for you in moderation of course. |

This is very interesting. I sort of remember the first time I had something with HFCS. It gave me the willys and some other reaction. To say I just do not care for it. To bad more people do not feel the same. |

In my opinion HFCS makes you weak in your mid section. I do not not think there is any way to correct the damage. The same as Sugar that is ridiculous. Sugar is sugar. HFCS is is syrup. |

"Rats normally live for a good two years, But the rats in my study fed a high-fructose, low copper diets are dying after 5 weeks." One of the few human studies of low-copper, high-fructose diets was abruptly stopped when 4 of the 24 subjects developed heart-related abnormalities, according to Fields. High fructose diets have also been implicated in the development of adult-onset diabetes. Fructose, especially when combined with other sugars, reduces stores of chromium, a mineral essential for maintaining balanced insulin levels, according to Richard Anderson, Ph.D., lead scientist at the Human Nutrition Research Center in Beltsville, Maryland.
As usual, one needs to take a very critical look at all scientific studies and research in order to understand where the science stops and the politics and hyping starts. 4 of 24 also means that 20 DID NOT suffer such consequences. OF course the study does not look into why those 4 developed heart-related abnormalities and the other 20 didn't. Was it really the high fructose low copper that caused those 4 to develop these abnormailites? Maybe it was the high fructose low copper diet that prevented such abnormalities in the other 20. Now if 20 developed the abnormalities and 4 didn't then I would indeed be inclined to thing the high frutcose low copper (note the Low Copper) was causing the abnormaility.

When you cut the carbohydrates in general from your diet until you can taste just how sweet some common garden stuff such as carrots and kohlrabi are, then you won't get diabetes.
Correct; corn syrup and table sugar are bad for you.
And sugar substitutes are something you should simply eliminate from your diet.
All you will miss are cancer, diabetes, and other dis-eases of the body.

Those commercials are nothing but dangerous propoganda.
They had to do something to hit back against the companies that are switching to honey and/or pure sugar.
Check your labels
slowly but surely, food manufactuers are elimiminating HFCS & replacing it with sugar or honey.
Like hydrogenated oil, HFCS is on the FDA hit list

WHich is a terrible way to die. Having your prostate gland removed usually makes you impotent, and means you will probably have to wear diapers as well.
