If he is elected, he will be our first Arab-American president.

Now I don't care if someone is Lutherin, Methodist, Assemblies of God, Catholic, Amish, Mormon, Baptist, Quaker, et al ... these are all Christian religions, and like it or not, the vast majority of our populace is Christian. And I am absolutely certain the vast majority of Christians are interested in whether or not this presidential candidate is a Christian or a Muslim. If he is not a Christian, and just masquarading as one (which is sanctioned in Islamic Law ... it's fine to lie to non-Muslims in order to further the faith of Islam). then the American voting public has not only a right to know that ... it is essential that we know that.
3. Where was he born?
We are not talking about the son of a military man, born on a military base.
We are talking about a presidential candidate possibly born in a muslim country to muslim parents, and schooled in a muslim madrassa.

Is anyone here old enough to remember the fuss that was made in the 1960's about President Kennedy while he was running for office? The populace spent hours trying to decide if a CATHOLIC could ever be elected!I have no doubt that when Barack was a little boy that if his Step-Dad was a Muslim then he would have raised Barack in that faith. Most parents do that with the best of intentions. My father for example decided at the time of my birth that I would be a Quaker. I decided that this was not for me as I grew older, and, although I believe in God/Great Spirit I try to practice as a good Buddhist would. The Quakers, and this is true, EXCOMMUNICATED me at the age of 21 because of non-attendance since the age of 8! They even sent a certificate which I ripped up though I wish I had saved it!Barack, I believe, decided later in life that he wanted to be a Christian.There are many roads to Rome. What is funny to me is that:
1. There is only one party.
2. The President is picked well in advance of the election.

I agree with you in regards his Pastor!Thankfully Barack, admittedly under some pressure, has now left that church, and the Pastor has retired. I would be extremely interested to find out whether or not Barack was present during the sermons in question.If he was and if he wasn't sleeping he should immediately, in my opinion ,have parted company with that church!He should also have tried to have had the Pastor fired as should the rest of the rather large congregation!To sit and listen without taking any action, in an incendiary situation like that worries me more about Barack than anything else does.I would like to see him interviewed on that issue.I will however,still be voting for him in the Fall but hope that he has learned a lesson from all of this this.To listen without comment implies consent.The place of the Church is to foster love between all mankind,and not hatred.As an aside did anyone see the rather fawning interview that Bill Moyers did on PBS with the Pastor just as he was retiring.
