Attack on Iran within two days - cherto pert

[link to irannewsblog.blogspot.com]

The attack which is also approved by European countries will start from the American - Israeli military bases in Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, Bahrain and Palestine. The source expected the attack to be between 10 and 11 September which coincides with several events including such as the attack on the World Trade Center in New York and the Islamic Badr battle. He mentioned that Arab and Islamic countries Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Iraq and Afghanistan are informed in advance about this attack.

Source: Attack on Iran within two days

[link to www.roadstoiraq.com]

Many speculations about when the Israeli - American forces will attack and bomb Iran, so put this one in the list.

But is it not strange that Ayman al-Zawahiri appeared yesterday attacking Iran for the first time, was it coincidence? And Iran Daily reported the Iranian army - Revolution Guards three days maneuvers in the Gulf in Ramdan is it also coincidence?

A Source who would like to stay anonymous told the Egyptian Resistance Voice that the U.S. - Israel would attack the Iranian nuclear facilities within few days.

The website says that Hezbollah is on full alert and Syria along with the Palestinian factions postponed their negotiations with Israel for the same reason.

One other thing to add, Egyptian political analyst and strategic expert, Major General Mahmoud Zaher broke his oath of “not to write about politics during Ramadan” and said the following in his article “A Time ruled by the devil’s spirit“:The information made me break my intention [oath] is wrapped in a question says:

What will the 9/11 of this year 2008 holds for us…?? Has it been done and planted as the new pretext, global Zionists can harvest again …From my information, the answer is “Yes”.

In his article Zaher warns Arab leaders and especially Mubarak of Egypt of the consequences of following the American - Israeli plans.

Iran rejects French warning over possible Israeli strike

By Haaretz Service and The Associated Press

[link to www.iranpressnews.com]

Iran dismissed on Saturday a warning by France's president that the Islamic Republic was taking a dangerous gamble over its nuclear program because one day Israel could strike.

Iranian government spokesman Gholamhossein Elham accused Israel of threatening global peace but reiterated Tehran's publicly stated view that it was not in a position to attack Iran.

Western powers accuse Iran, the world's fourth-largest oil exporter, of seeking the atom bomb under the cover of a civilian nuclear program.

Iran denies the charge, saying it only wants to master atomic technology in order to generate electricity.

The United States and Israel have not ruled out military action if the dispute cannot be settled through diplomacy.

During a visit to Damascus on Thursday, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Iran was "taking a major risk in continuing the process to obtain a military nuclear capacity." He added: "One day ... we could find one morning that Israel has struck."

Iran's state broadcaster IRIB quoted Elham, the government spokesman, as saying in response to Sarkozy's statement:

"These threats are because of weakness ... and it reflects the reality and the war-seeking nature of the Zionist regime."

Elham added: "This regime is not big enough and does not have the capacity to want to think about a war with Iran."

He said Israel "uses every chance to threaten global security and peace."

The international row over Iran's nuclear program can only be addressed diplomatically rather than through military means, President Shimon Peres said on Friday.

"I think the problem can be resolved not militarily but politically and economically," Peres was quoted as saying by the AFP news agency. The president was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a meeting in the northern Italian town of Cernobbio, site of the Ambrosetti Forum, an annual gathering of global political and business leaders in an Italian lakeside resort.

In remarks carried by the Italian news agency ANSA and cited by AFP, he described a military option in dealing with Iran as "an error."

"So long as there is a possibility of acting politically and economically, it is much better," Peres said.

Peres appeared side by side with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Both leaders spoke before the crowd about the political, diplomatic and security situation that exist between Israel and the Palestinians and the Arab world in general, and said that Israel and the Palestinian Authority are closer than ever to a peace deal.

Abbas pledged to try to reach a final status peace agreement with Israel by the end of the year - but he admitted the goal, set by U.S. President George W. Bush, might not be achieved.

Abbas also rejected the notion that he and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert might put forth a partial document outlining the areas in which they do agree and leaving open other issues - most notably, and most sensitive, the sharing of Jerusalem as a joint capital.

"It is necessary for the agreement to address all ... issues," said Abbas. "It is all or nothing, really," he continued.

Abbas and Olmert - and their negotiating teams - have held periodic, secretive meetings since peace talks were reignited at Annapolis, Maryland, in November 2007.

Palestinian officials close to the talks have said some progress has been made on the issue of borders, but the issue of Jerusalem, especially the Old City with its Jewish, Muslim and Christian holy sites, appears to be as stuck as ever.

The sides also have been unable to come up with a formula addressing the plight of millions of Palestinian refugees and their descendants.

Asked about a possible Likud victory in the next elections, Abbas sidestepped the issue.

"We might not be able to reach a final status agreement by the end of the year," he said. "We will make all possible efforts."

Abbas said if no agreement was reached while Bush remained in office, "the new administration should not wait seven years for us to start negotiations".

"It should begin immediately as soon as a new president is in the White House."

Israeli President Shimon Peres, who has used his largely ceremonial role and his stature as an elder statesman to push peace efforts in the past, addressed the forum after the Palestinian President.

"We have to try to reach an agreement," Peres told the crowd. "We have to act on the supposition that it is possible."

Referring to Hamas, Iran and Hezbollah, Peres said that the next elections in the Palestinian Authority must be carried out as a truly democratic process. The Israeli president emphasized that the concept of democracy must be upheld, not only on the day the elections take place, but more importantly on the day after.

"It is illogical that an organization abuses the tools of democracy to install a military, terrorist, murderous and religious fanatic dictatorship," said Peres.

Peres said that Iran is no longer a reflection of its glorious and rich history, but rather now it represents a fanatic religious extremism and poses a real and existential threat to the Middle East and to the entire world.

"I do not support military action against Iran but the world must become a united front and impose harsh economic sanctions on Iran," said Peres

Peres also urged progress with Syria, which is currently engaged in indirect talks with Israel via Turkish mediation. He called for Syrian president Bashar Assad to make a personal gesture similar to the dramatic 1977 Jerusalem visit by Anwar Sadat of Egypt, which led to a peace agreement in 1979.

"I think if President Assad will create a visit to Israel or alternatively invite the prime minister of Israel to go to Damascus we shall see a major change," he said. "I believe the best way is to start with a meeting and then have negotiations."

Abbas, whose people have sometimes fretted that prioritizing wider Mideast agreements might leave the Palestinians in the cold, said he would support Israeli progress with Syria or other Arab nations.

"Possible success for those negotiations could facilitate peace for us, too, said Abbas. "If the Arab League proposal were adopted," he said,"27 Islamic states would proceed with peace with Israel. Israel would be in an ocean of peace."

Iran demands UN response to Israeli 'threats' to kidnap Ahmadinejad

By Mazal Mualem, Haaretz Correspondent, and Reuters

[link to www.haaretz.com]

Iran demanded on Tuesday a "resolute and clear response" from the United Nations to what it called dangerous threats against it by Israel, and said Tehran would not hesitate to respond to any attack.

A letter from Iran's UN Ambassador Mohammad Khazaee to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon described comments by two Israeli ministers as "vicious threats ... in blatant violation of the most fundamental principles of international law."

Israel believes Iran could have a nuclear bomb by 2010, a development it says would threaten its existence.

Khazaee said remarks attributed to Pensioners Affairs Minister Rafi Eitan by German magazine Der Spiegel this week "yet again put on display the aggressive and terrorist nature of the Israeli regime."

Der Spiegel quoted Eitan as saying in an interview that while the era of Israel hunting down former Nazi officials abroad was over, "that's not to say that such operations are a thing of the past."

Asked to explain, he was quoted as saying, "It could very well be that a leader such as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad suddenly finds himself before the International Criminal Court in The Hague."

Last week, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in an interview with Al Jazeera television that Israel was serious about using "any option" if diplomacy did not curb Iran's nuclear program.

"These dangerous threats of resorting to criminal acts ... require a resolute and clear response on the part of the United Nations, particularly the Security Council," Khazaee said.

"Iran ... in accordance with its inherent right under Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, would not hesitate to act in self-defense to respond to any attack against the Iranian nation and to take appropriate defensive measures to protect itself, its people and its officials."

The Security Council has passed three rounds of sanctions against Iran because of its refusal to stop uranium enrichment, which the West fears is aimed at making atomic bombs but Tehran says is solely for power generation.

Am in N.Israel.

The IDF ground forces are in even poorer shape to cope with a Hizbollah rocket deluge than in 2006.

If Hizbollah starts firing deep in to Israel 300kg Zilzals this time, the only way the Israelis can deal with then is by mini-nukes, as the Air Force even with guided bombs can't do it, and no way will the IDF mount yet another land invasion deep in to Lebanon!

Is an Attack on Iran Imminent?

Diplomats in Europe and the United States who have been tackling the difficult issue of Iran and its nuclear ambitions have been jolted in recent days by two unexpected developments.
The first was a report in the highly respected Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. It claimed that a top-secret intelligence operation that had been developed over several years by the Dutch AIVD Secret Service had been aborted. The report went on to claim that one of the agency's top agents had been withdrawn from Iran because of “impending U.S. plans to attack Iran.”
De Telegraaf reporter, Joost de Haas, said the attack was expected within weeks. He based his story on Dutch intelligence sources, and went on to suggest that Iran's supposed nuclear targets would be attacked by unmanned vehicles (which could presumably include cruise missiles) to avoid any possible harm to aircrew. This would also mean that the Israeli -- and – or United States air forces would be held in reserve to ensure the defense of Israel against Iranian retaliation.

It is impossible to confirm reports of this kind, but the usual intelligence rumor mill has been busy, particularly in Paris, where officials seem to be taking the Dutch story very seriously. That may help explain the second new development that has really surprised France's allies. During the visit to Syria of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, he tried to bring Syria into the nuclear negotiations with Iran.

"I told the president that Syria can play a role in the Iranian issue. Iran must not obtain a nuclear weapon but it has the right to have nuclear energy for peaceful use," Sarkozy said in Damascus, just before taking part in a four-part summit on the broader Middle East peace process with Turkish and Qatari leaders.

The United States, which remains highly suspicious of Syria (and still lists it as a state sponsor of terrorism) was surprised and far from pleased by Sarkozy's initiative. The likely explanation is that Sarkozy felt a new sense of urgency to try something, indeed anything, to fend off the worst in Iran.

"Iran is taking a major risk by continuing the process of seeking nuclear technology for military ends, because one day, no matter which Israeli government is in power, one morning we will awake to find Israel has attacked," Sarkozy said during the Damascus summit.

"It's not a question of whether it is legitimate or intelligent or not. It would be a catastrophe, and we must avoid such a catastrophe."

Sarkozy's new sense of urgency may owe something to the Dutch intelligence story. Who knows? Cynics suspect that these recurrent rumors of air strikes against Iran are deliberately leaked as some form of (so far unsuccessful) psychological pressure against Tehran. But the Bush administration has just 60 days to go before the presidential elections, less than 140 days before Bush leaves the White House. And the clock is ticking.

When will the world wake up and realize this is about OIL and the US Dollar.

The Zionist Jews are lying to the world and deceiving the US people into fighting for them against a fictitious enemy. The Zionist Jew is also playing the Arab world into this by making the west appear as the devil.

Easy solution. Destroy Israel, give it back to the rightful owners the Palestinians. Withdraw US and allied forces from Middle eastern countries and there will be peace. Apologize sincerely to the people of middle eastern countries for the years of occupation and murder.

Anything else and the Zionist Jews will get what they planned for. The goyim are too stupid to see.

Most will reply with, but the Muslims are terrorist who want to kill us... CRAP that's what your masters the ZIONIST JEWS are telling you, so you can fight for so called freedom.

It has been two years since the United Nations ordered Iran to stop enriching uranium, and despite multiple sanctions and incentives, Iran's leaders have refused to back down. While Iran insists its nuclear ambitions are for peaceful purposes, many countries believe they are a cover for a clandestine nuclear weapons project. Daniel Pipes of the Middle East Forum told WORLD he is "very concerned" about Iran's intentions: "Iran has a leadership that has shown itself to be apocalyptic in its orientation, so it is more dangerous, I think, than any prior state that has acquired advanced weapons."

Iran raps Israel 'kidnap threat'

[link to news.bbc.co.uk]

Iran has protested to the UN after an Israeli minister suggested his country could kidnap Iran's president over threats he has made against Israel.

Iran's UN ambassador called the remark "outrageous and vicious" and called on the UN Security Council to take action.

Israeli minister Rafi Eitan suggested President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad could be kidnapped and brought to trial.

Mr Eitan, an ex-intelligence chief, was involved in the kidnap of leading Nazi Adolf Eichmann in Argentina in 1960.
