Why do you think this happens? Do you think that black mothers are evil or more violent than other mothers? Do you think the solution is to take their kids from them?

The truth is they react like this because of their own background. The violence comes from black peoples past and guess who is responsible for that. She grew up being hit by her mom and her mom experienced the same thing. If you go back far enough the kids were beaten for screwing around because the parents knew if their kids didn't learn this lesson early they would be in for far more horrific beatings from the white master. So when the black mother beats her kids in front of white folks they are reacting unconciously in fear and selfloathing. They want the white world to see that they are doing everything they can to prevent their kids from being misbehaved and deserving of the white mans lash.

Maybe instead of being critical (the root of this problem) you should have appoached her in openness and love and told her that her child is a beautiful person who needs love not fear and violence. Instead of judgement and hate how about trying love and forgiveness?

The cycle continues for as many generations as it takes till someone finally breaks the cycle.
