HEY A GREAT REMEDY FOR STREP THROAT IS TO CHEW ON SOME CLOVES OF GARLIC. JUST A LITTLE AT A TIME TO GET USED TO IT. DO IT WITH SOME TEA WITH HONEY AND CHEW AWAY. CAN'T GET ANY CHEAPER THAN THAT AND IT WORKS.

I found:

plan to be down for 2 weeks or so. Sleep as much as possible while:

Thyme for respiratory strength (tea)
Ginger for inflammation (tea)
Slippery elm for the cough pain (pills)
I'm looking into the oregano (thanks)
Saline/salt water netti pot (drying out bacteria)
Soups and Vitamin C!

I'm also finding bleu cheese to be a natural form of penicillin .. if you can stand eating that for like 10 days.. there are multiple kinds (ask your cheese monger)

I heard of eating pickles. The acid in the pickle kills the bacteria in your throat. Also, gurgle Silver solution. Not colloidal. Silver solution kills any type and kind of bacteria. Gurgle it every hour, as long as you can, then swallow.

I had strep several times every year when I was growing up and have had it several times as an adult. I recently cured it by gargling with hydrogen peroxide every 4 hours and eating smashed garlic on toast sprinkled with enough cayeane sp? pepper drizzled with honey about every hour for the first two days. I have never recovered so quickly from strep. It works!

This here works perfect: get some raw honey from the store - not the processed kind because it's lost its enzymes & amino acids so...say honey still in the comb can be found @ the store. THAT is what ya need.

to each teaspoon of honey add a pinch of Cayenne pepper.

Then use 2, 3 cloves of garlic either pressed or diced very, very fine.

Myself, as a strep infection is just that: an infection. Your throat is full of pus. Gargle with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. If you've seen how the peroxide foams up if you use it on a scrape or cut, you've seen it foams up while it's killing the bacteria. You'll be foaming @ the mouth like a rabid dog - that's the peroxide killing the pus & germs. This is the "hard way" but it works...however your throat may feel worse for a day or two but keep gargling with the peroxide, even for 2 days after it stops foaming up in your throat just to be sure you've killed the strep bacteria. Sure beats 10 days of antibiotics & still having a sore throat!

The Honey, Cayenne etc. is the safest bet yet again, you're gonna be in pain for a few days until it's done its job!!
